00:00All right, Jay, you hit on football, man. It's football season, football season, election season, it's all going on at
00:07the same time.
00:08And I have to tell you a funny thing, you made me think of this because this guy, El Syed,
00:12in Michigan, he says he hates football.
00:18The Democrats think it's like too much competition, I guess, or too much hard work,
00:25or, you know, that everybody shouldn't have to be tough and resilient in life.
00:30You know what? We're tough and resilient, aren't we?
00:36That's America, baby. We are so blessed to be Ohioans, and I want to just share something with you
00:42because do you know when photo ID became part of Ohio law?
00:49It was in 2006 when I was speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, all right?
00:54I brought photo ID to Ohio as a legislator, and then as Secretary of State, I carried it on, making
01:00it easy to vote and hard to cheat.
01:02I got sued by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and we went all the way to the U.S. Supreme
01:07Court
01:07to maintain the integrity of the Ohio voter rolls, baby.
01:10We're getting it done here in this Buckeye State.
01:16But you know what Sherrod Brown was doing in 2006?
01:19He was in Congress voting against photo ID.
01:21He's opposed photo ID for 30 years, all right?
01:26He's also, by the way, he was elected in 1974.
01:29He's been in public office for nearly 52 years.
01:32Can you name a single thing that he's done to help you?
01:35No.
01:35No, you can't.
01:36Sherrod Brown let us down, didn't he?
01:38Yeah.
01:39All right, and we're going to change that, aren't we?
01:41We're not going to let him back in there to keep failing us,
01:43rising, shipping our jobs off to China, raising electricity prices,
01:49open borders and illegal aliens pouring into this country
01:52and even getting on the voter rolls.
01:53We're not going to let that happen, are we?
01:55All right.
01:57So we have a great, great opportunity with Issue 3, though,
02:00and I want to just tell you what I've been doing.
02:02In the U.S. Senate, I've been leading the photo ID provision, all right?
02:06I've voted for the Save America Act seven times.
02:10I want to tell you a story.
02:12So Chuck Schumer goes out to the national media and says,
02:16well, Democrats are not against photo ID,
02:19just the rest of the stuff in the Save America Act.
02:22So guess what I did?
02:23I introduced a bill with the Ohio version of photo ID in the U.S. Congress.
02:31And I got it to the floor of the U.S. Senate,
02:34and I gave the Democrats the chance to prove that they were for photo ID.
02:40They said they were.
02:41We had a vote.
02:42Every single Republican voted for my bill.
02:45Every single Democrat voted against it, all right?
02:48So you know where we stand.
02:50The American public is with us.
02:52The American public supports photo ID, all right?
02:55We have it in Ohio,
02:56but we're going to have a chance to put it into the U.S. Constitution
02:59or to the Ohio Constitution.
03:01We've got to get this done, all right?
03:03We've got to win all these races.
03:05We've got to get this ballot initiative accomplished.
03:07We've got to continue to make Ohio
03:09the number one state in the nation for elections,
03:12and we have done that over time,
03:13and we're proud of that.
03:15We've done a lot of great things to move our state forward.
03:18I want you to know this, though.
03:20I'll fight just as hard for you as I can't,
03:22possibly can, in the U.S. Senate.
03:25Sherrod Brown has let us down for 32 years
03:27that he was in Washington, hasn't he?
03:30You can't think of a single thing that he's done to help you, right?
03:33All right?
03:34I want to tell you something.
03:36In my first few months in office,
03:38I voted for the largest tax cut in the history of America.
03:44Putting money in the pockets of hardworking families,
03:48cutting tax on tips, cutting taxes on overtime,
03:50cutting taxes on Social Security,
03:53helping families get the money they need
03:56to support their children, pay for child care, whatever that is.
03:59And I want you to know,
04:00Sherrod Brown let us down,
04:01but I will never let you down.
04:04All right?
04:10So I want to take this opportunity, though,
04:13to talk about the Ohio that I love.
04:15Some of you know,
04:18I started out life in a foster home.
04:20I got adopted.
04:21I grew up on County Road J
04:23in Williams County, Ohio,
04:25way in a rural part of Ohio.
04:26When I graduated high school,
04:28the factory my dad worked at closed,
04:30and my whole family had to leave this state
04:32because there was no place to go to work.
04:34The unemployment rate at the time was 8%.
04:36And when I got elected to office,
04:39I vowed that I wanted to turn Ohio around,
04:42that I wanted to make sure that this was a state
04:44where your children and grandchildren
04:46didn't have to leave to find opportunity,
04:48that I wanted us to be a place
04:50where we were number one again.
04:52And when I started out
04:53in my public service journey in Ohio,
04:55we were the 34th worst state to do business, okay?
04:58And last month, CNBC rated Ohio
05:01number one in the country to do business.
05:08We now have the most jobs we've had
05:10in the history of our state
05:11and the lowest unemployment we've had
05:13in the history of our state.
05:13But this election will determine
05:15where we're going in the future.
05:17It will matter who you elect.
05:20It matters more than ever
05:22because sometimes people forget
05:24where we were, where we came from,
05:26where we are now,
05:27and what it's going to take
05:27to get ahead for the future.
05:29And this race for governor,
05:31I'm telling you,
05:31there is no choice, folks.
05:34We've got to elect Vivek Ramaswamy,
05:36don't we?
05:37Amen.
05:41If we want to be
05:44the number one state in the Midwest,
05:46a place where our children
05:48and grandchildren
05:48don't have to look beyond
05:50the borders of Ohio for opportunity,
05:52it's going to require
05:54a leader who understands
05:55how to get that done.
05:57Vivek understands how to get that done.
05:59Amy Acton has no clue.
06:01All right?
06:01She has no idea how to do this.
06:04Vivek does.
06:05He's been a successful leader
06:07in business.
06:08He is brilliant.
06:09He's hardworking.
06:11And ladies and gentlemen,
06:12please let me introduce to you,
06:14and he needs you,
06:15our next governor
06:16of the state of Ohio,
06:17Vivek Ramaswamy.
