00:05The American people are repudiating the corruption of Donald Trump and his family.
00:11They are repudiating the authoritarianism of MAGA.
00:16And we are also repudiating all of the alliances and coalitions
00:21with Vladimir Putin's fascism tonight all over the world.
00:28And from the free state to Texas and California, New Hampshire and Maine and Michigan,
00:33we're not going back. We're never going back to that.
00:38We're not going to allow our government to be treated as an instrument of corrupt self-enrichment
00:45by the president and his family.
00:47By his own account, Donald Trump made $2.2 billion in his first year in public office.
00:55That is more than $2 billion more than every other president in American history combined.
01:02Nobody else ever dared dream go into business like that.
01:06That's more than every member of the House and the Senate made together in the two years of this Congress.
01:13And check it out. That comes to more than $1 billion an hour.
01:19One, I'm sorry, $1 million an hour that he earned.
01:23More than $1 million an hour that he earned on the side in his various business endeavors.
01:30The American citizen who's earning an average salary has to work 20 years to earn, in quotes,
01:38what Donald Trump got from foreign governments, crypto interests, and other corrupt petitioners in a single hour.
01:48My friends, we have got to start to put an end to this corruption.
01:52And it starts tonight.
01:59And when I raised it before, Donald Trump Jr. says,
02:02hey, my dad doesn't even accept his government salary of $400,000.
02:07Hey, I'm sorry, Mr. Trump Jr.
02:10That's all he's allowed to accept.
02:13The framers of the Constitution were very clear that they wanted the president to be reporting to the American people,
02:21not to Vladimir Putin, not to Qatar or the United Arab Emirates,
02:26not to the crypto criminals and the gangsters, but only the people.
02:30Here, the people rule.
02:32That's us.

02:39Reading the newspaper is not going to be like the Sopranos anymore, you guys.
02:45We're singing a different tune tonight, and it sounds a lot like the land of hope and dreams Bruce Springsteen

02:55If I become the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee,
02:58we are not going to allow the government to be treated as a weapon of mafia-style revenge
03:04for this doddering criminal felon against his perceived political opponents,
03:09like James Comey, like Letitia James, like Mark Kelly, like Maggie Goodlander,
03:15like Jason Crowe, like dozens of other Americans,
03:18including a fellow Montgomery Countyan who's here tonight.
03:21Please welcome Davey Hearn, the three-time Olympic canoeist.

03:33They try to set him up.
03:34They try to set him up on the reflecting pool job.

03:39They knew from the Interior Department's report that it was Donald Trump and his pool guy from Mar-a-Lago
03:48and the cronies at the consultant company that got the insider no-bid government contract for more than $25 million.
03:57They're the ones who turned the reflecting pool into the strait of warm ooze.

04:07But they tried to send him away for 10 years for felony destruction of federal property.
04:14Can you believe that?
04:16Councilman Adam Van Grack in Rockville and lots of people throughout Montgomery County organized a movement to free Davey Hearn.
04:23And those charges were dropped permanently with prejudice against Davey.
04:32And I wrote a letter to the U.S. attorney from the District of Columbia,
04:40a Fox News host from the past,
04:45named Janine,
04:46what's her last name?
04:50Okay, cool.
04:51Janine, what's her name?
04:53Janine Pirro.
04:55And I wrote a letter to Janine Pirro and I said,
04:57number one,
04:58pay for Davey's legal fees.
05:00Number two,
05:02get your hands off my constituents.
05:04And number three,
05:05if you're still looking for a felon scofflaw vandal in the District of Columbia,
05:11I've got a great lead on the guy who bulldozed the East Wing of the White House
05:17and is desecrating the Kennedy Center.
05:24Well, that reflecting pool,
05:26the Strait of Wormuz,
05:27is now a symbol of the corruption of this administration.
05:30They said they were going to drain the swamp.
05:32They moved into the swamp.
05:34They filled the swamp.
05:35The banks of it overflowed.
05:37It's crawling up the Lincoln Memorial,
05:39the algae farm they created.
05:42It's going to go and creep up on the guy who created the Republican Party
05:47and all of it a gift from the guy who destroyed the Republican Party.
05:55Donald Trump's got a staph infection,
05:57but we're going to start to clean it up in January.

06:35and to take care of our climate system,
06:38to protect our families,
06:40our communities,
06:41our children,
06:41our intellectual property,
06:43our democracy,
06:45our sovereignty,
06:45and our national security
06:46against those corporate practitioners of artificial intelligence
06:51who have no moral or emotional human intelligence left.
06:55We're going to stand up together and turn it around.
07:00We're going to defend humanity.
07:02We're going to defend America.
07:06We're going to see democracy on the growth track again.
07:09When Tocqueville wrote Democracy in America,
07:11he observed that democracy and voting rights
07:13were either shrinking,
07:16shriveling away,
07:17or growing and expanding.
07:18And we've been in this terrible,
07:20I was going to say contractionary mode,
07:22but I'm not going to use that tonight.
07:23We've been in this reductionist mode
07:26with all of their disenfranchisement,
07:28all their voter suppression schemes.
07:31We're going to turn it around.
07:32Let's get democracy moving again.
07:34It's 2026.
07:37How about it's time we start electing
07:39the president of the United States
07:40the way we elect governors and mayors
07:42and county executives
07:43and representative senators.
07:45Whoever gets the most votes wins.
07:47How about that?
07:49Yeah.
07:55Something I agree with Donald Trump
07:57about is statehood,
07:58but not statehood for Canada,
08:01not for Greenland,
08:03not for Panama.
08:04They've not asked for statehood.
08:06How about statehood
08:07for the 713,000 taxpaying draftable citizens
08:11of Washington, D.C.
08:13down the road?
08:15How about statehood
08:16for three and a half million
08:18American citizens in Puerto Rico
08:20who can vote
08:21for no federal voting representation at all?
08:26We're going to turn it all around.
08:27We're going to get democracy moving again,

09:24of some of the great democracy heroes
09:26that have traveled with me in my heart
09:29as I've crossed our beautiful country.
09:31One of them, Thomas Jefferson,
09:33you know, in 1798,
09:34when they passed the Alien and Sedition Acts,
09:36a friend wrote him and he said,
09:38is this really the same country
09:40that had a revolution
09:41against kings and tyrants?
09:43They were rounding up
09:44dangerous French revolutionaries
09:46and throwing newspaper editors
09:48and politicians into jail.
09:50And his friend expressed despair
09:51about where things were going.
09:53And Jefferson wrote him back
09:55and he said,
09:55a little patience
09:56in the reign of witches
09:58shall pass over.
09:59Their spells dissolve
10:00and the people recovering
10:02their true sight
10:03will restore their government
10:04to its true principles.
10:06In the meantime,
10:07we are suffering
10:07all of the malignities
10:09of war and national debt.
10:11But if the game
10:12runs against us sometimes,
10:13we must have patience
10:15because this is a game
10:16where principles are at stake.
