00:00This poor baby duckling was found struggling all alone in the middle of the street.
00:04It's 90 degrees out. We're like, this little ducky is going to die.
00:08There's no family for the little ducky. It's just lost, alone, thirsty.
00:12There's no pond or lake nearby.
00:14Only thing I could really think of was to save the ducky, so we took him home.
00:21Oh, you're hanging out on the hairbrush.
00:24Let him play in the bathtub, gave him some water and some snacks.
00:28I felt like I had been chosen by this duck.
00:31This is our little buddy.
00:33Wild animals should usually be left alone, but because this duckling was in immediate danger,
00:39Kevin rescued him and worked with wildlife professionals to give him the care he needed
00:43and determine the safest next steps.
00:45The dogs were absolutely obsessed. They fell in love.
00:49They just followed it around everywhere, wanted to sniff them, wanted to look at them.
00:54As much as Kevin and his dogs completely fell in love with him,
00:58Kevin ultimately knew that the best thing was to return him to the wild.
01:04We were thinking, you know, we really need to find this little guy a family.
01:07I went to my local pond, started walking up, and I'm just thinking,
01:10wow, if there was just a family of ducks there that would take our little baby duck in,
01:14that would be the coolest thing ever.
01:17It's really dark. I don't know if you guys can see that,
01:19but there's a family of ducks right there,
01:21and I'm going to see if they can take our sweet baby.
01:24See them? You got to go join them.
01:26And I found this little spot where the duckies were hiding under this tree.
01:30Little baby duck actually walked out towards where these ducks were hanging out.
01:35That family successfully adopted our baby duck.
01:38He's going to have a great life now.
