00:02Voter turnout in the Negri Sembilan state election is shaping up to be similar to the
00:07last state polls, according to DAP Secretary-General Anthony Look.
00:12Look, who is defending the Chenna state seat, said early reports showed turnout was largely
00:18on par with the 2023 state election, with some constituencies recording stronger turnout
00:24in the morning.
00:26Speaking after casting his ballot at a polling station in Mambao on Saturday, Look said
00:31he hoped voter turnout would reach at least 73 per cent by the close of polling.
00:36He described the turnout as a healthy sign and urged voters to fulfil their democratic
00:41responsibility.
00:43When asked about pre-election surveys said to be unfavourable to some parties, Look said
00:48he would not comment, noting that every side had its own surveys.
00:51He stressed that surveys were merely indicators, adding that the final outcome would ultimately
00:58be decided by the people at the ballot box.
