00:08there that could be added to our team's roster would be Stefan Diggs. We talked about that
00:14yesterday. They certainly tried in the offseason to add receivers. They were very interested in
00:20Alec Pierce. He ended up resigning in Indianapolis. They were interested in Romeo Dobbs. He ended up
00:27signing with the New England Patriots. Washington did add Deami Brown and Van Jefferson. They
00:35drafted Antonio Williams. They kept Traylon Burks. But still, that obviously looks like an area in
00:43which you've got Terry McLaurin and then a lot of mystery. Look, I think you can make the case that
00:49with Terry two years since he last played at a high level, not his fault, injuries, and then last year
00:56not out there with a lot of the other players that he was out there with in 2024. But he
01:02could be a
01:03bit of a mystery. Are we going to get the best of Terry? Are we going to get a slightly
01:08diminished
01:08Terry? I personally think we're going to get the best of Terry because of the kind of pro that he
01:14is.
01:15I think we're going to get the best of Terry. And obviously, a lot of Terry's results will be
01:22contingent on the rest of the offense being healthy and the new coordinator being the right choice.
01:31The question that I want to ask to all of you, and the reason I opened up with a wide
01:36receiver,
01:36is I think that this is going to be a very popular answer. What I want to ask all of
01:42you,
01:42we've focused a lot on positives for the most part. Give me the thing that could end up making
01:51Adam Peters and the front office look the worst. Something that could happen this year with the
01:59team that could end up making the front office look the worst. I shouldn't just say Adam Peters. I
02:07should include Dan Quinn because there have been a lot of decisions made. This was a very active team
02:13in the offseason. They added more new players than any team in the league. Number one in the league
02:20with new player additions to the roster. We'll see what it looks like when we get to the 53.
02:28They like to call it the 70 because you can add up to 17 to the practice squad. But the
02:33final 53 are
02:34still going to more likely than not because most of the new additions were free agent additions,
02:40free agent additions on defense, free agents additions on defense that they are expecting
02:45to contribute. But what could make at the end of the season, or maybe at any point during the season,
02:54what could make the front office look the worst? I mean, beyond just terrible results or terrible
03:02performance. I think that even though I would acknowledge that they tried, and by the way,
03:15it's very possible that a certain gentleman that used to play in the Bay Area who now apparently has
03:22a $10 million house in Loudoun County, he could have been a part of their plan at some point. I

03:28that they were certainly interested before the last month and a half. I am giving them credit. I know
03:35some of you don't. I am giving them credit for trying to add higher quality wide receivers, more speed,
03:45Pierce, Dobbs, etc. And they just didn't get it done there. Now we'll see what the third round pick
03:53Antonio Williams means. We'll see how Carnell Tate ends up playing in Tennessee, because that could
04:00have been the pick at number seven, had he been there. And they could have said, look, we tried with
04:05the with free agency. We just couldn't get a deal done. But we're delivering here with our favorite
04:11player in the draft at a position of need. I think that even though I would acknowledge that they tried
04:19to create a better supporting cast offensively at the wide receiver position
04:25for the offense, for David Blau, for Jaden Daniels, I think the thing that the front office
04:32is at most risk of in terms of being truly skewered by the fan base is if it becomes really
04:43obvious
04:43that the wide receivers just aren't high enough caliber, like God forbid, some of the injuries
04:51happen at wide receiver again. And let's just say Terry were to go down the lack of start frontline
04:59starters. And then of course, depth would certainly be an area in which the front office would really
05:06take a beating. I did not beat up on anybody in this offseason for last year. I just don't know
05:14how you can. Unless somebody told me, hey, man, their practice, the way they train, the way the doctors
05:22and the training staff, you know, dealt with these injuries. I don't know how you evaluate the team last
05:30year with all of their top line players missing parts of, if not the majority of the season.
05:38That to me isn't on them.
05:43But the wide receiver room last year and the wide receiver room this year
05:50on paper doesn't look great. And if it doesn't work out, this is the area in which I think the
05:57front office
05:57will look the worst if it doesn't deliver at a level that is acceptable enough.
06:05I mean, if Jaden's sitting back there and nobody's getting open with a decent scheme
06:10and that puts him into a position where he's at more risk
06:14because he's extending and he's running more.

07:18what if that defense isn't significantly improved?
07:21Who's that going to fall back on?
07:24I think the biggest risk
07:26to the front office
07:27going into this season
07:29is the area of the team
07:31that has really drawn
07:32as much conversation
07:33as any other area of the team.
