Residents in Yatsushiro face water and gas shortage after Japan quake

Residents of Yatsushiro in Japan's Kumamoto Prefecture say they are "anxious" as they eagerly await the full restoration of water and gas supply after a powerful earthquake struck the region. An evacuation centre has received air conditioners and fans to help people battle the sweltering heat. The death toll from the tremor three days earlier has hit at least 35.
