00:13the season never really gave her a chance to get into rhythm. A preseason ankle injury
00:18delayed the start of her season, keeping her out until May 24th. Then, just as she was
00:22trying to settle in, back soreness forced her to miss another stretch in June. So instead
00:27of building momentum, Saab spent the early part of this year trying to play catch-up and
00:32when a player's game is built on timing, confidence, movement, and feel, that matters. Now it feels
00:38like the old Sabrina is back. Over her last six games, Inescu has turned things around
00:43in a major way. She scored 142 total points, is averaging 23.7 points per game and 4.8 assists
00:50per game, while shooting 47.5% from the field and just over 40% from three. And just as
00:57importantly, the Liberty, they have won three straight games. And what stands out most about
01:01this stretch is not just the scoring, it's the shot making in the biggest moments. Take
01:06the Liberty's most recent game against the Dallas Wings. For most of the night, Sabrina
01:11struggled. She shot just 8 for 25 from the floor, but in overtime, it was a straight, sad
01:17takeover. She scored 12 of the Liberty's 16 points in OT, flipping a frustrating shooting
01:22night into one of the most clutch performances of the season. Now, that's star behavior.
01:27That's a player who never stops believing the next shot is going in. Then came Chicago
01:32at the Barclays Center. Another huge moment, another Sabrina takeover. She poured in 29
01:37points, including a barrage late to help fuel one of the Liberty's most dramatic comeback
01:42wins of the season. And that version of Sabrina, the one who can completely seize a game in the
01:47fourth quarter, that's the version that New York needs. Then coming out of the All-Star
01:52break, in the win over the Sparks, she followed it up with 27 points, seven rebounds, and six
01:57assists, knocking down five threes, and once again, looking fully in command offensively.
02:03So when you zoom out, this isn't just one random hot game. This is a real six-game stretch.
02:09This is rhythm. This is efficiency. This is confidence returning. And maybe, most importantly,
02:15this is Sabrina once again, looking like one of the Liberty's engines. Because when Saab is
02:20aggressive, everything changes for New York. The floor opens up more. The offense gets cleaner.
02:26Breonna Stewart doesn't have to carry as much creation burden. The Liberty become much harder
02:30to guard when defenses have to worry about Saab pulling up from deep, attacking off the dribble,
02:35and making plays for others all at once. And that's what makes this recent run so important.
02:41It's not just that she's playing better. It's how she's playing better. Inescu looks decisive
02:46again. She looks explosive again. She looks comfortable again. And when Sabrina's healthy,
02:51confident, and hunting her shot, the Liberty become a different team. That's why this stretch
02:57could mean so much for the second half of the season. A three-game winning streak doesn't solve
03:02everything, and it doesn't erase every inconsistency the Liberty have had so far. But if Sabrina continues
03:08to play at this level, scoring efficiently, creating for teammates, and delivering in crunch time,
03:13she could be one of the biggest reasons New York reaches another level down the stretch.
03:18The early part of Sabrina Inescu's season was about recovery, but her last six games have been
03:23about resurgence. And if this is truly the beginning of her turning the corner, well, that's huge news
03:29for a Liberty team that's trying to build momentum in the second half. Right now, Saab looks like she's
03:34got her swagger back. And if that continues, the Liberty may be rising right along with her.
