00:00It was Halloween horror movie night on Dancing with the Stars,
00:03and the scariest part wasn't Val's return to the ballroom,
00:06dressed as a flesh-eating zombie,
00:08or having Mark Ballas' mom, Shirley, join the panel as a guest judge.
00:12Nope, it was the cutthroat double elimination.
00:15Spoiler alert, if you haven't watched, you've been warned.
00:18The final couple who is safe is...
00:37That's right, two men exited the competition in a double elimination.
00:42Savannah Bananas star Jackson Olsen,
00:44who did a contemporary routine inspired by Joker,
00:47and Bachelor Nation star Tyler Cameron,
00:50who performed a Viennese waltz inspired by a Dracula film.
00:53One of the more savage parts of the night was after guest judge Shirley Ballas
00:57complimented Tyler on his acting skills in the dance,
01:01her only positive note of the routine.
01:04Carrie Ann chimed in after, delivering this burn.
01:06I disagree with Shirley Ballas.
01:08I did not think that the acting was that great in that dance,
01:11and that was the weakest part for me.
01:13But with all due respect, Your Highness.
01:17Glee star Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson's Saw-inspired contemporary
01:21earned them the first perfect score of the season.
01:24Johnson, who faced criticism the other week for a controversial lift,
01:28got emotional from the judge's love.
01:30Val and Jenna Dewan's dance was almost perfect,
01:33but Dewan getting her heels stuck in her dress
01:35likely prevented her from a perfect score on the dance.
01:38Talk about horror.
01:40Connor Wood also earned two tens
01:41for his Annabelle-inspired contemporary dance.
01:44Ezra French and his partner Daniela earned three nines and an eight
01:48for their jazz routine inspired by the movie Invisible Man.
01:51Amber Glenn performed a black swan-inspired Argentine tango
01:55with her partner Pasha that earned them four nines
01:58and put them second on the leaderboard,
02:00which combined scores from last week's non-elimination show.
02:04But guest judge Shirley Ballas did almost get booed out of the ballroom
02:07after starting off the night giving Julia Stiles
02:10her lowest score of the entire competition, a four.
02:13Stiles also got a less-than-flattering pre-tape
02:16that featured tension in rehearsals between her and partner Ezra Sosa.
02:20But Stiles wasn't alone in getting a four.
02:23Fresh Prince star Tatiana Ali also got a four on her routine
02:26from the Strictly Come Dancing judge on their Sinner's Dance.
02:30Shirley's son Mark Ballas and his partner Love Island star Maura Higgins
02:33went last, and they didn't earn top scores from his mom,
02:36but they did walk away with a seven from her.
02:39Shirley Ballas was asked after the show about her brutal scoring,
02:42and she said over in the UK she considers a four a good score.
02:46She even said the stars were lucky she didn't pull out a two or a three.
02:50Yikes.
02:51Now, only eight couples remain in the competition.
02:53Next week, Dancing with the Stars will be on Monday night,
02:56not Tuesday, because it's Election Day.
