00:00I'm Nicole and these are my top five picks
00:02when it comes to fridge door condiments.
00:03Number one, mayo.
00:05Gotta have it, it goes in so many things.
00:07Obviously spreads, but you can turn it into dips,
00:10dressings, sauces, possibilities are endless.
00:13Number two, hot sauce.
00:14As you can see, I have a variety of hot sauces
00:16because different foods call for different hot sauce.
00:19This might be the most versatile.
00:20Number three, pickles or pickled items.
00:23Whether you're talking about relish or peppers,
00:25they add brininess, they top salads, they top sandwiches.
00:28They get stirred into dressings or tartar sauce
00:31or sandwich spreads or crab cakes or salmon cakes,
00:34or they get mixed with things and topped on cream cheese
00:36for a perfect appetizer.
00:37Number four, Dijon mustard.
00:39Of course it's a great emulsifier, it's a great spread,
00:42but also it's great as a binder inside things,
00:44but also rubbed on top of meats or fish
00:46because it acts as a glue to get the spices to stick.
00:49Dijon's got the most flavor,
00:50but I also keep a variety of mustard.
00:52And finally, soy sauce.
00:53It is used for way more than just adding to your stir fries.
00:56I love adding it in almost every marinade.
00:58I will sometimes boost up other sauces
01:00just for that little added umami flavor.
01:02And of course, all my Asian staples.
01:04And that's my pick five.
