The 2026 Mubadala DC Open has been an incredible tournament so far! EB represented The Junkies yesterday and had a great time watching the tennis matches with his family.

00:00lucky to be here my alarm didn't go off this morning is that is that uh user error you didn't
00:06set it or you know what's funny is so sometimes i don't know half the time now i'm sleeping better
00:13but still not great i when i my alarm if i wake up before my alarm i turn it off
00:18and then it has
00:18a button and it says turn on in 24 hours you know there's one right underneath it you hit that
00:23and i guess the day before i didn't do that or i missed whatever and so if if the alarm
00:30goes off
00:31itself normally you turn it off it automatically resets if you turn it off early you have to make
00:37sure you hit that extra button to reset it for the next day and i guess yesterday i didn't do

00:41so all of a sudden i woke up at uh late for me so normally i wake up at 4
00:4520 go downstairs i take
00:47my time i drink my water i i see what happened overnight make my coffee wait 30 minutes before
00:53i have my coffee and then i leave um and i leave usually around 505 something like that um this
01:00morning i woke up at 455 and i kind of just grabbed my phone to see what time it is
01:05and i was like oh
01:05my god 30 minutes behind my schedule but i knew it was good because i had plenty of time to
01:11get here
01:12but uh it just threw me off yeah and it's just it's good that i my brain just said you
01:17better
01:17check the phone because it seems like you're i actually feel somewhat rested i do like pressing
01:22the snooze button my my alarms usually set for 4 20 to 4 22 yeah and then i hit the
01:29snooze five
01:30minutes i don't usually use all the five minutes but yeah i just think i've got i've got five more
01:36minutes just lay here in bed or sometimes it's three and then i get up i'm gonna do the morning
01:41routine but it's not nearly as extensive as yours and then i'm out the door yeah my routine is 15
01:46minutes my routine is just i do all sort of my pre-show kind of what happened overnight stuff
01:52on my couch and it's just kind of where i wake up i got like 30 minutes of just relaxing

01:58wait for my coffee i take my my lemon water and my apple cider vinegar water and all that drink

02:05that just chill out today didn't get the chill time got it i think i'm waking up as i'm driving
02:13into work which probably isn't great it's probably not a great idea but that's just kind of my my
02:20ritual i get that my alarm goes off maybe once every couple months right it's usually my body is just

02:28just up looking at the clock rolling life pondering life and then hating life when i actually have to
02:36get out of bed which is around 406 or 407 yeah well i think eb should have had a good

02:42of the uh the mubadala dc oh he's been out late the last two nights last few nights yeah that's

02:48for me i want to hear all about it what time did you get there geez i don't know um

02:54session they opened the doors at six and as we were you know i just figured i'd park on the

03:00but dina said when she was looking remember i told you i'm not worried about the parking
03:03um dina said she was looking and they were highly recommending people just uber use use uh whatever
03:09they call it ride share yeah um that or you could use a shuttle well i'm definitely not going to

03:14shuttle so there was parking on the site which is what i've used in years past but she said it's

03:20fifty dollars so well then at that point we might as well just uber uh because i actually live six
03:25miles from there right you know through traffic and everything so we we ubered got down there about
03:325 45 uh perfect got in there no problem immediately i i you know actually get recognized by some guys
03:41which is really nice and they offered to take me into the vip lounge okay they were in they were
03:45breaking my balls by not having any vip access and i said no no that's fine um but you know
03:53it is amazing it feels like a mini u.s open you know just the way they've got it set

03:59they don't have nearly the amount of courts it's not nearly the size but you have the men and the
04:03women um and you know it's just it's just kind of it's just a cool environment i really like it
04:09first thing we did is we did a lap all the way around the facility went to the practice courts
04:14we watched some of the uh doubles that was happening on one of the side courts um and then honestly

04:21of the first things we did is my daughter was starving we had they had they actually had a big
04:25like uh food court tent where it had like a cava yeah and some rooster something i don't know must
04:32be a chicken spot you've ever heard of it it's like roman rooster or something like that yeah i don't
04:36know the exact name of it but it's something like that yeah and then a couple other spots um my
04:41my son
04:42got like a lobster uh sub or whatever he saw roll he saw a lobster roll he got all excited
04:49for that
04:49um oh so you did not get the upgrade for the why didn't ask hospitality yeah i didn't ask well

04:57kind of asked yesterday on the air yeah i didn't do any good i actually did see at one point

05:01we're sitting there eating i got some cava um mark on walked right in front of me but he had

05:07with him he was yeah he was deep in thought yeah there are nine billion people there the last thing
05:12i was going to do was was go up there and grab him i understand and say hello i probably

05:16have done that either um we got into the main uh stadium and we saw the first we actually saw

05:22whole match of naomi osaka and krieger yeah krieger and krieger she would she retired she have
05:29cramps or what would happen i thought when she pulled off her wristband i thought maybe
05:34have been a wrist or something i have no idea she just retired all of a sudden she just said
05:37out it's like three one she was down a second set and she's like i'm outie um and my kids
05:44didn't
05:45understand that i go sometimes that happens in tennis yeah they're not really quitting but maybe
05:49they're quitting but you know she's gonna need i don't know um with a lot of people there for that
05:54match yeah decent amount of people for sure and then uh then we went walking the grounds of some
05:59more and then we actually sat down and the side courts i have to say are actually more interesting
06:04because you could just get as close as you want and we watched the match between john harris court
06:11is that where john harris court which is interesting because i've met john harris i know his son quite
06:17well because his son and my son played together uh tate andrews played lacrosse together and brian
06:23harris that's small world it is a small world um and those guys like brian harris was very good
06:28friends with with mark ein um anyway we were at the john harris court and we saw this italian guy
06:35who i'm not i'll be honest i'm not familiar with him he's 38 years old he's still ranked 52 in
06:40the
06:40world is that who man that's crazy mattarino matt was talking about yesterday no that was that was
06:45on the stadium i mean you're 38 playing tennis you are a freaking dinosaur 38 playing tennis and still
06:51ranked 52 in the world in singles yeah that's pretty two years ago i think he had a high ranking

06:58or like 17 like so when he was 36 years old he was still ranked like 17 or 24 whatever

07:03um and he was playing a younger american alex uh mickelson yeah you saw manarino he's a manarino
07:11manarino i'm not familiar with manarino we were talking about him yesterday yeah yeah i'm not
07:14familiar with him but he uh he was playing mickelson and manarino got up to like a three love start
07:21but the younger mickelson just eventually was grinding him down by the time i left
07:25it was uh mickelson come back won the first set it was up like three or four one in a

07:32yeah um but that that was an awesome match because we were right there we're just two couple seats and
07:38they were just ripping it well it's you know it's just which exactly what you would imagine
07:44manarino's just keeping it in play not not a lot not really not any power but just keeping
07:50everything in play and mickelson's just a big strong kid from southern california who just has
07:54a big serve and big strokes and i actually thought when manarino took it out to an early lead that

07:59was just the a wily vet that was going to grind him out but i think i didn't see the

08:04assuming that mickelson closed well it was seven six was it yeah yeah it was a good match um and

08:10we were going to go into the stadium you didn't see fritz right fritz played early in the afternoon yes

08:14played early we were going to go to the stadium one more time but at that point you know it

08:19a day close to nine o'clock and i was just like you know what we just need to go

08:41cloudy ish it was breezy little breeze and it just felt like you wouldn't be shocked if five

08:52it was great but i just i was kind of stunned that it was that way sort of the whole

09:27women's side um i don't know yeah there's and there's four on the women's side so they're getting down
09:33to it they have so many people out there there's not a lot of bathrooms so by the end of

09:40i had to stoop and i had to go into port-a-potty and thank god now the i don't
09:45really go in the
09:45port-a-potty's very often i'm talking about i go on one about once a year i mean i just
09:51try to avoid
09:52them at all yeah i mean yeah unless it's absolutely necessary my son doesn't care i've told you before
09:57he'll sit down in one and he'll just never do that i mean sit and just play games on his
