00:00Kedah Menteri Besar Sanusi Noor has issued a letter of demand to PKR leader Dr. N. Satya Prakash.
00:09He alleged that Satya defamed him by misrepresenting remarks made during a ceramah in Jampol Negeri Sembilan.
00:16Sanusi's lawyer, Faizi Che Abu, denied that the past leader had told Malaysian Indians
00:22or Chinese to return to their ancestral countries, saying he was only referring to Malays having
00:28Tanah Melayu as their homeland.
00:31Sanusi has given Satya seven days to remove the TikTok content containing the alleged defamatory remarks,
00:38refrain from republishing it, issue a public apology and propose a reasonable amount of damages.
00:45He also indicated that more letters of demand would be issued to individuals whom he accused
00:50of twisting his remarks beyond their actual meaning.
00:54On Sunday, Satya acknowledged that he had wrongly claimed that Sanusi told Chinese and Indians
01:00to go back to China and India.
01:03However, he maintained that the error did not affect the basis of his police report, which
01:09focused on the overall meaning of Sanusi's speech.
01:12The controversy stemmed from Sanusi's speech in which he said that the Chinese have China,
01:18the Indians have India, the Cambodians have Cambodia, and the Malays only have Malaysia.
01:24Yesterday, Sanusi denied that the remarks were intended to question the citizenship or rights
01:30of Malaysian, Chinese, and Indians.
