00:39The future of Malaysia is based on the workforce and how do you make sure that everybody in
00:44the workforce is joining a good game, right?
00:49That means it must be smarter, wealthier and healthier for all.
00:53And that is based on skills, that is based on access to resources, access to food, food security,
01:01access to infrastructure, access to work labor, right?
01:05All of this is industrial policies.
01:07But they are linked together.
01:09If you don't have cheap energy, people don't have cheap food.
01:13If you don't have cheap food, it's all related together.
01:17But the source that comes from MEF is that they have a vision to target this and to take
01:24the bull at the horn or to take the claws off the tiger to make sure that they can live
01:33with the tiger, right?
01:34We're going through the biggest changes.
01:37And the biggest changes, Malaysia will not be unaffected of it, right?
01:41You are competing in Asian countries. You're competing with China. You're competing with India.
01:47You have suppliers to India. You have suppliers to everywhere.
01:51How do you shape a workforce that can support the Malaysian industries,
01:57but can shape new industries and that can be the future where people want to live?
02:03What would be top three decisions that you think the government should make for us to be sustainable
02:08in terms of repair workforce? What would be the top three decisions that the government should make?
02:13So I think that some of the key priorities that IMF have, right?
02:16They want to have a human-centric AI version, right?
02:19They want to have a good future for all the workers, right?
02:23And they want to have a growth in the industry, right?
02:26So all of these are related to it because politicians want the same thing.
02:31If you don't have good labor force, good access to skills,
02:36it doesn't matter if you are having a lot of people going into engineering schools,
02:42but they all end up in Singapore, it's no good, right?
02:46We need to make sure that they stay here. They want to have family here.
02:49We need to make sure that they can make a good income.
02:52We need to make sure that their dreams are fulfilled.
02:55We need to make sure we deliver a good handover to the young people.
02:58But the young people, we need to make sure that they understand what the future involves.
03:04And the future involves failure, right?
03:06These people are leaders not because they've taken the right decisions,
03:10because they've taken many wrong decisions.
03:13But these wrong decisions enable them to be who they are and take the right decisions, right?
03:18I believe Malaysia, with MEF's leadership, is in a good future.
03:23You have to make sure that they're doing whatever they want.
03:24So we know that they see that they have in the country.
03:25It's just a huge difference.
03:26So you can find the opportunity to help with a laptop.
03:26They can't help, with that of course,
03:27but they can't help that because they don't have any idea.
03:31I don't have a lot of people who are in the country.
03:31So I think there's a lot of people who are here.
