00:07Harry, you've just competed in a final at the Commonwealth Games on your debut, how does that feel?
00:12Yeah, amazing, really amazing. Such a great competition to be a part of and to be part of a final
00:18is such an art.
00:20And to be competing in front of such a raucous crowd like this, with obviously the Scottish interest in getting
00:26a gold medal,
00:27how was that for you? How did that affect your performance at all?
00:30Yeah, it was amazing. I used to be in a home nation, getting the crowd behind us, my family's up
00:36here.
00:37I know Ruben as well, working really hard, as well as all the other boys who are in the competition.
00:43Yeah, it was quite obvious you've got a lot of good camaraderie with your fellow competitors, haven't you?
00:47Yeah, good friends with a lot of them. And talk about your performance, obviously 65 points, a very good score.
00:56Were you happy with that?
00:57Yeah, I was happy with that. Took a fall on the bowl, which crossed me about two marks, so around
01:03the 67-68 part is where we're looking to be.
01:06Obviously, it can be a little bit cleaner here and there, but I'm really happy.
01:10It's all stuff to build on, isn't it? But you must be absolutely delighted with how this has gone.
01:14And obviously, you were pressed on Friday, but then you were reserved for the final.
01:19And what were your emotions like when you were waiting to find out whether you were going to make it
01:22today?
01:23I know. To be honest, I just had to keep my mind in the game. As we saw, someone pulled
01:30out and I got the call up.
01:33And it was nice to be able to know last night and be able to go to med knowing that
01:38I was competing. It was probably much easier.
01:42But yeah, really good.
01:43Excellent. And I believe you're the first male gymnast to compete at the Commonwealth Games since 2014, when the games
01:49were last here in Glasgow.
01:50How do you hope that sets up men's and boys' gymnastics in the Isle of Man going forward?
01:56Yeah, I hope it inspires the young generation and hopefully men's gymnastics can help build the boys' side and the
02:04girls' side up for future games.
02:08Excellent. And then what's next for you now? Obviously, that's your games programme done. What are the next events for
02:13you?
02:13Yeah, so I've now got a little bit of rest. Potentially a couple of competitions in the year, but we're
02:21really working towards the Island Games next year.
02:24Excellent. And then so you've got the Faroe Islands and you've got the Home Games in 2029 and then the
02:29Indian Commonwealth Games.
02:31Are you looking ahead like that long term as well?
02:33Yeah, potentially. We'll see what happens.
