00:06you know, hit a child, kick a child, slam their head into a wall, verbal abuse, yelling constantly.
00:11And with my mother, it tended to be more calculated. If I did something that made her
00:15angry or I got in trouble, it would be like, oh, go get me your hairbrush. And my hair is
00:20very curly
00:21and like, if you brush my hair and it's dry, it hurts really bad and it's very difficult to do
00:26that. As a kid, what can I say to people? Like, oh, my mom brushes my hair. Like that doesn't
00:31ring
00:31any alarm bells. You know, my mother, she definitely had some sort of disorder or something, but she,
00:37she was very erratic and her moods would change pretty constantly. The Mormon church, they have
00:42a very big like, like cultural center in San Diego. And there was this event that was happening that
00:48was like 18 plus event. And I was 13 at the time. And my mom said, I'm just going to
00:53bring you because
00:54like, you're very well behaved. And so we get there and they tell her like, no, she can't
00:58participate. She's 13 and this is an 18 plus event. So my mom gets mad at me. She takes me
01:04to like the
01:05park nearby the place, leaves me there under a tree dressed in like a full pioneer costume and then
01:10goes to do the event herself. And I'm just 13. I have no phone. I'm just standing there like for
01:15hours.
