00:00Speaking of people you want to avoid, B. Mitch, we've got to start with someone who supposedly bought a new
00:07house here in Loudoun County.
00:09Supposedly.
00:10You mean me?
00:11I'm going to go buy a new house.
00:14Supposedly, Brandon Iyuk bought a $10 million house in Loudoun County.
00:20All right, man.
00:21This is why that's not a big story to me.
00:26So, I was playing golf at the area where they say he supposedly bought the house yesterday.
00:34And as I, I think I was listening to something, no, looking at something on social media.
00:40And they were discussing the situation he's in and the position he's in right now.
00:45The position he's in, and he stated to all the people that's listening to him, he said, I am not
00:52going to file those papers.
00:53Well, if you don't file those papers, you never get off of that list.
00:57And if you never get off of that list, you can live where the hell you want to live.
01:01You're going to be having a nice-ass house, and you're going to be sitting in it 24-7 because
01:04you won't be practicing with nobody.
01:06So, until he files those reinstatement papers, he is on the left team's list.
01:14And you know what that means for the 49ers?
01:16They don't have to do a damn thing.
01:19They can sit on their hands because he doesn't count against their cap.
01:25That is the big whammy on this thing that I think a lot of people who are in support of
01:29him and who don't understand what's going on.
01:33If he's not reinstated and don't file it, they don't have to do a thing.
01:38Everybody was like, oh, they're going to just release him.
01:40Why would I release someone who basically handled me wrong when I don't get docked for it?
01:49Yeah.
01:50They're not getting punished by having him on the list.
01:54So, let's say you have $50 million on my list, on my salary cap, but you're off of it because
02:01you're on the left team squad.
02:02Yeah.
02:03I don't have to do a damn thing.
02:05So, he can buy a new house.
02:07He can get some data centers in his damn place.
02:11Ain't doing him no good on that football front.
02:13Yeah.
02:14Well, what's the point of the NFL, right?
02:15To beat the other 31 teams.
02:17Yes.
02:17To get to that Lombardi trophy.
02:19If you don't have to pay the guy, but if I cut him, someone else is going to sign him.
02:23Why the heck would I help somebody else?
02:25True.
02:25I'm not just going to go out of my way to help out another team.
02:27And they can say, listen, is it being petty?
02:31Yes.
02:32It's being petty as hell.
02:35But, the other person is not doing the things to force your hand.
02:40So, if you're not, if I'm a team that wants you, and you don't go and force their hand, I
02:49am taking you off of my want list.
02:50Yes.
02:51Because you're basically telling me you don't give a damn.
02:54Like, there are, when you go to college and you have a degree that are prerequisites, you got to take
02:59those classes before you get into your studies.
03:01But, if you never take those, guess what you do?
03:03You never get into the degree.
03:04You never start taking classes to get a degree, right?
03:06So, if you never, so, he is refusing to take his prerequisites.
03:11He's not taking Algebra 101, you know, Math 101, whatever it's called at your school.
03:16Yeah.
03:16You know, he's not taking that.
03:18But, he wants to get into the calculus class.
03:20They ain't letting him in the calculus class because he never took the pre-stuff.
03:24So, right now, if you're supporting him, how about you, instead of just egging him on, how about you go
03:32on this list and, everybody, if it's $100,000, a million of y'all, everybody write, dude, go get those
03:37reinstatement papers signed.
03:39Then, something will start moving for him.
03:41100%.
03:42So, I want to hear from George Kittle.
03:44So, he was talking about this Iyuk situation, kind of hinted that maybe there's a little more to it than
03:50is being let on about.
03:52Maybe he knows a little bit more but didn't want to get into it.
03:53But, here was George Kittle talking a little bit about what's going on with Brandon Iyuk.
03:57I feel like I know basically everything that's happened and what's gone on, and I can't share all of that
04:01because it's not my business to share or tell.
04:03But, I just want to let you know that I feel like the Niners have done a very good job
04:07throughout the entire process and have tried.
04:09Kyle has tried.
04:10John has tried.
04:11Yes.
04:11Teammates have tried.
04:13And, this is where we are.
04:14Yeah.
04:14And, so, I think the organization itself has done a really good job.
04:19Like I said, I know plenty of things.
04:21And, I don't ever want to single out a player.
04:23I don't ever want to point a finger at anybody.
04:25But, I've been here for 10 years, and I've been treated with nothing but respect and love my entire career.
04:30I feel like I've done it the right way as long as I can.
04:36Listen, man.
04:40I was on this team for 10 years here.
04:44And, I watch a lot of guys.
04:47And, I know I hear a lot of people's opinions of those guys.
04:50There are guys that they always did what they were supposed to do, and they were treated as adults with
04:58respect.
04:59There are guys that people love that didn't do what they were supposed to do.
05:04And, they had different rules than everybody else.
05:07Because, you have certain people who you know you can trust, and you have people who you have to watch.
05:12You have people who you have to put it in their contract to make sure they be on their best
05:16behavior.
05:17So, everybody's not the same people.
05:19But, if you look at the people that are doing what they're supposed to do, okay?
05:26Those guys were treated with respect.
05:29And, the people on the 49ers, based off of what I know, from the history of their team, just be
05:35an adult.
05:36They're going to treat you like that.
05:37They will take care of you.
05:39There were people in this town that had, like, some skeletons and that had some issues.
05:45But, they were still treated with respect.
05:47You know why?
05:48When they did everything right for football.
05:51You know what I'm saying?
05:52Yeah.
05:52Hell, we're going to be honoring one of them during the season, right?
05:58But, he was a wild man.
06:00But, he took care of his damn business.
06:02But, if you are a wild man and you don't take care of your business, what on earth make you
06:07think you're supposed to be treated like the guys that are doing everything they're supposed to do?
06:10Well, and this is why it's so important when you're going through a draft or signing a free agent or
06:14something of that nature.
06:16Obviously, we know the football player.
06:17But, this isn't playing a video game.
06:19This isn't something where I just pick this guy up.
06:21This is a real human being.
06:22Yeah.
06:22So, you need to know when you bring this guy into your building, this is why it's so important, understanding
06:27that when they drafted him, they understood a little bit of the person, but you also signed him to the
06:32contract when you're the Niners.
06:33Yeah.
06:33And, the negotiations clearly did not go to the favor of what Ayuk wanted, and it soured a relationship, but
06:39that's part of the business.
06:40Yeah.
06:41That's what you have to go through.
06:42Once you sign the contract, you live up to it.
06:44Exactly.
06:44You can't sign it and say, well, because they were tough on me in the contract, I can act a
06:49fool.
06:49Listen, I got four kids.
06:52I love all four of them.
06:55But, I don't think I treated all four of them the exact same way because they have different personalities.
07:00You know, I can influence or motivate one by doing one thing.
07:06If I do it with the other one, they wouldn't even touch.
07:08They didn't get moved by it.
07:10Yeah.
07:10And, I think everybody out there with kids, they're from you.
07:14And, listen, if they're from you and the same person, say it like that.
07:17If you got two, three, four kids, you and your wife, you and your mate, whatever, I guarantee all four
07:24of them are not the exact same people.
07:26So, what on earth make everybody think because Brandon said, well, they don't take care of us, that they don't
07:32take care of everybody else.
07:33Maybe, just maybe, if you wouldn't be doing some of the things you're doing, they might treat you better.
07:39They might give you more respect.
07:41They wouldn't have to negotiate a contract to, like, they put in his contract.
07:46If he didn't show up, they get to void his money.
07:49Why do you think they put that in his contract?
07:51Because they probably knew he wasn't going to show up.
07:55Now, he signed it, and he still didn't show up.
07:59So, it's hard for me to feel totally sorry for someone when you are the culprit.
08:07You are the person that made you sign something that they worried about with you, then you did exactly what
08:13they thought you would do.
08:15So, he wants everybody to believe that, although he didn't do what he was supposed to, they were supposed to
08:21treat him a different way.
08:23Man, please.
08:24Yeah, 100%.
08:25Try it.
08:25Lose me with that.
08:26On Sunday, I thought this was interesting.
08:28Torrey Smith, obviously a former Raven, former Terp, he tweeted this out saying,
08:33Iyuk is frustrated, but he clearly doesn't want to play anymore.
08:36He is cutting up on line.
08:37I thought it was interesting, he clearly doesn't want to play anymore, because we've heard throughout this entire saga,
08:44some Niners beat reporters, and guys have thrown out, like, they were worried at how much this guy really cared
08:52and wanted to play.
08:53And you can't kind of dismiss some of that, but when he clearly needs to do one thing to get
08:59things rolling in the right direction,
09:01if he wants to play for another team, and he's not willing to do that thing, kind of fits into
09:05that narrative of,
09:06maybe he just wants to play victim and not play football.
09:08See, I know this topic moves the needle.
09:13We want and we are required to discuss it.
09:19But in my world, it wouldn't be discussed until he go and file those papers.
09:27Yeah.
09:27Because we could talk till we're blue in the damn face.
09:30There's nothing Adam Peters and the commanders can do.
09:34Nothing.
09:35Whether come out and say we don't want him or we're going to sign him.
09:39They can't do anything until he does the filing and the 49ers then are forced,
09:46because once he goes back on their cap, they have to let him go.
09:50You see what I'm saying?
09:51So if he doesn't do what he's supposed to do, us talking about it every day does absolutely nothing.
10:00Because nothing can happen.
10:02So we do it.
10:05It's a requirement.
10:06It moves the needle.
10:08But I think we're just as dumb as he is to discuss it all the damn time.
10:13Yeah.
10:13I'm over it.
10:14And we're going to talk about the rookies reporting for training camp here in just a couple of moments.
10:19But I think you'll like this reply, B-Mitch.
10:21So Sleeper Commanders is the one that kind of tweeted some of this stuff out.
10:24The first reply under it goes,
10:26Oh, wow.
10:27That's dope.
10:27Future season ticket holder for the commanders.
10:32He ain't going to be playing for them.
10:33That's for sure.
10:34I think you'll be playing for the commanders.
10:34I think you'll be playing for the commanders.
10:34I think you'll be playing for the commanders.
