00:21The new tariffs range from 10 to 12.5 percent, with major economies including China, India, the European Union and

00:33China, Japan, South Korea and several other trading partners will face the higher tariff rate of 12.5 percent.
00:41However, the EU, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and Switzerland will receive limited relief under earlier trade agreements.
00:49Goods already subject to sector-specific tariffs will not face the new duties, including steel and aluminum products,
00:56while certain energy products and fertilisers will also be exempt from the measures.

01:16Following that ruling, Trump used different legal powers to reintroduce a 10 percent tariff on imported goods.
