00:00And the most unexpected item in my bag is...
00:10Hi, I'm Alessia Cara. Are you ready to spill it?
00:13So, I brought this backpack. It is one of my many backpacks that I travel with.
00:18This one is one of my favorites. I don't know why I like it.
00:21I just feel like it's really cool. I got it from Japan.
00:23We were in Tokyo, my best friend and I.
00:25For some reason, couldn't find this mall that we were gonna go and shop at.
00:29And then we saw this little lineup of students walking home.
00:32Like high school students, I think, in uniforms.
00:34So, we asked them. We used Google Translate to ask them where this mall was.
00:38And they were so kind enough to lead us there.
00:41And it was just one of those moments that was really sweet and cute
00:44because it was such a language barrier.
00:45But, I don't know, it just showed the pureness of humanity.
00:48And I always just remember that moment.
00:50I usually take bags like this pretty much everywhere.
00:54I don't know why. I refuse to bring big purses.
00:57I just like backpacks, which is probably why my back is completely hunched.
01:01There's definitely like a half-eaten bag of chips from the flight in here, I think.
01:07Alright, so let's get started in here.
01:09So, the first thing is my phone.
01:12It's extremely old, not updated.
01:15I have no space on it, so every time I want to take a photo, I have to delete something.
01:18This is it right now. The pop socket is faded.
01:22Car keys. Sunglasses.
01:25As a kid, I never wore sunglasses because I was always like, I always found it humiliating to wear sunglasses
01:29for some reason.
01:30But now, I enjoy wearing them, especially in Los Angeles with the nice weather.
01:35It's very cool. And I like these. They kind of feel very vented.
01:38This is my mom's tiny wallet that I stole.
01:41And there's just a bunch of cards in here. It's easy.
01:44I like to carry this with me if I don't want to take like the full bag.
01:47Microfoliant. I didn't even know this was in here.
01:49Ooh, so this is the smallest perfume bottle ever.
01:53It's like a mini version of my usual perfume.
01:55And I take this with me if I just need a little re-up.
01:59It's Le Vieux Belle, the best perfume in the world.
02:02It's like my signature scent. It smells so good.
02:04I wish you guys could smell it through the screen.
02:07It's very, very nice.
02:09Gum, of course. Orbit. This is really old as well.
02:13So this is Fenty Lip Gloss and Illya.
02:18It's like a lip conditioner that's tinted.
02:20This is the best lip gloss in the world.
02:22This as well. It's just like a really pretty lip tint.
02:25This is the best color too. There's like a couple different colors,
02:27but this one is the best. It is Gloss Balm.
02:31Sanitizer, of course. A little travel size.
02:34An old film roll with nothing in it.
02:37This is like the container for the film roll.
02:40I got the point-and-shoot camera from Japan as well.
02:43It's an Olympus Zoom. It's like an old camera.
02:47I got it for super cheap on eBay.
02:50Taking film photos is always a little bit cooler because,
02:53you know, you kind of forget the photos that you take,
02:54and then when you get them developed, it's like,
02:56oh, what is it? Oh, Lexapro.
02:59Lexapro for the brain.
03:00So I was eating at a restaurant the other day,
03:04and a publicist, like, gave me her phone number.
03:07Don't worry, my publicist. Love you guys.
03:10What else do we got? Wired headphones.
03:12Gotta have them. I am not a fan of pods.
03:16I don't like that you could lose them.
03:18I don't like that you have to charge them.
03:19I just want to listen to music.
03:21I don't want to have to worry about the battery, so.
03:24Of course, mask. I like the cloth ones.
03:26This one has a cute little, like, bendy thing to, like,
03:29grip around your nose.
03:32My laptop that is also kind of old.
03:35I think it's time I get a new one.
03:36I got this cool, like, little laptop cover a few years ago
03:39on this website, Society6.
03:44Sunscreen, 60 SPF.
03:45I always apply this every single day to my face especially.
03:50This is my little glasses case.
03:52This is my friend Liv's.
03:53She lent this to me, and, uh,
03:56these are my reading glasses that I should wear more often,
03:59but I don't wear them enough.
04:00Oh, yeah, these are the old chips that I referred to before
04:03from the plane.
04:06A little hair clip to clip up my hair.
04:08I feel like my hair can get damaged really easily,
04:11and my curls can frizz up,
04:12so I always just prefer to have something
04:13that I can loosely clip them up with.
04:16What is this?
04:17Okay, I didn't even know this was in here.
04:18This is so old.
04:20What is this?
04:21This is a chocolate chip chewy granola.
04:23Oh, it was one.
04:25Look at it.
04:27And a $2.
04:28Oh, this is awesome.
04:29This is a $2 bill from someone named $2 Steve.
04:34He just, like, walks around giving people $2 bills.
04:36And they're real.
04:37Like, I think you can actually use them.
04:39So this is one that I obviously kept in here.
04:41This, oh, this is cool.
04:42This is, um, a little, my, like, self-promotional, uh,
04:47Band-Aids for the growing pains.
04:48Band-Aid kit.
04:49But they're not actually Band-Aids.
04:50They're just stickers.
04:52Um, and disinfecting wipes.
04:53Again.
04:54COVID times.
04:56Gotta be safe.
04:57Ooh, more Fenty.
04:57This is old.
04:58I don't like this one.
04:59Um, another Band-Aid.
05:02I get blisters a lot, so I always carry Band-Aids.
05:04Oh, two passports.
05:05My, um, Canadian one and my European one.
05:10I am an Italian citizen as well, so.
05:13In case I want to flee the country, dark chocolate.
05:18Also didn't know this was in here.
05:19A receipt for a restaurant in Miami.
05:22I haven't been to Miami in over a year.
05:25Over two, so.
05:26Okay.
05:26A little first aid kit slash toiletry kit.
05:30I have, um, some lozenges, a comb,
05:34more Band-Aids.
05:36Benadryl.
05:37One time I got a really crazy allergic reaction to vitamin B.
05:40I thought I was gonna die.
05:42Um, what else is in here?
05:44Tylenol.
05:44Anyway, we don't need to go through that anymore.
05:46That's, that's enough.
05:47This giant wad of ones and fives that my dad makes me travel with.
05:51He always sends me away with some cash.
05:53Classic Italian dad.
05:55Another mask.
05:56Another mask.
05:58And another mask.
05:59Oh, and another mask.
06:01Some deodorant.
06:02That is, uh, cucumber.
06:05I was gonna say flavored, but scented, I guess.
06:07Cucumber scented.
06:08I don't eat my deodorant, obviously.
06:10Oh, and a portable charger.
06:12Oh, and then, so last but not least, the most unexpected item, I guess, would be another bag.
06:18That I got from Joshua Tree.
06:20For 15 bucks.
06:22One of a kind, made from candy wrappers.
06:25I just really love it.
06:26I love that no one else has one like this in the world.
06:28And it's just like, it's so cool.
06:29It's like, DIY, repurposed.
06:32It's really nice.
06:33So, there you go.
06:34That's, that's what's in my bag.
