00:00I've never tried the BBL Moxie combo.
00:02I'm most excited about the possibility of clearing up my acne, not having to worry about
00:08the insecurities of covering it up with makeup day to day, and just having overall clear,
00:13glowing skin.
00:16Hi, I'm Triana, and today I'm going to do the Moxie BBL and laser treatment.
00:21Will it be worth time, money, and will I recommend it to a friend?
00:25Let's go find out.
00:31My skin journey has been quite the struggle.
00:34It's just something that I've always kind of dealt with and never have been able to get
00:38fully clear.
00:39I've tried all the things I've done, Accutane, all the internet trends that you try that
00:45are viral for a minute, but it's always been something that I've struggled with as an insecurity.
00:51I'm just very excited to try the treatment today to see if I can get it a little bit
00:56more clear.
00:57Through this treatment, I'm hoping to address the acne I've developed, the hyperpigmentation,
01:04the scarring, all of the above that I've just developed over the years from struggling with
01:09skin.
01:09Hi, I'm Dr. Michelle Lee.
01:10I'm a board-certified plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills.
01:13I specialize in facial rejuvenation and everything face aesthetics related.
01:17I was on E Entertainment's reboot of Dr. 90210.
01:20It's the first all-female medical show.
01:23I went to the University of Pennsylvania for medical school and finished my fellowship
01:27at Harvard.
01:27When I first graduated from fellowship, I joined a large medical practice and I felt that medicine
01:33was super corporate and I wanted to provide a boutique customized aesthetic experience to
01:37my patients.
01:38And that's how PERC was born.
01:40We are open to all clients.
01:42I think they all share the goal that they want to look very natural and they want to look
01:46the best version of themselves.
01:48I'm really proud to have an all-female team.
01:50Especially in the sciences, we don't see that very often.
01:53We support women.
01:54My former MA is now in physician assistant school.
01:57We want to see young women succeed, especially in the sciences.
02:00Hi, I'm Courtney.
02:01I'm a board-certified nurse practitioner at Park Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills.
02:05Both Dr. Michelle Lee and I work very closely.
02:07I primarily do the non-invasive procedures and things that are practiced.
02:11BBL Moxie combo is actually a combo from the Cytan Laser Company.
02:15The reason why they are kind of up and trending is the combination is really great.
02:19When you put them together, they're kind of hitting all aspects of regeneration, stimulating
02:24collagen.
02:25One is working through light therapy.
02:27One is a laser.
02:28So together they make for a really good treatment.
02:30Typically the Moxie BBL combo would cost around $1,900.
02:33I think what's really exciting is that we have really entered the undetectable era of aesthetic
02:39enhancements.
02:40I think coming from a multi-angle approach and working synergistically together, that's
02:44what makes aesthetic improvements right now so good.
02:47Hi, I'm Dr. Michelle Lee.
02:49Hi, I'm Triana.
02:50How can I help you?
02:51I've kind of always had acne struggles.
02:54I think just like overall, I would love to improve the texture and quality of my skin.
02:59I see depressed acne scars and I see a little bit of pigmentation changes, so I think by
03:04evening out the pigmentation and then the texture of the skin will help improve the quality of
03:10your skin significantly.
03:12First, we start with BBL, which is broadband light, and it will kill all of the bacteria
03:17and reduces inflammation.
03:18It will kind of help control your acne breakouts at the root of the cause.
03:23To address the texture, I would recommend a Moxie laser.
03:26What the Moxie laser does is it resurfaces the skin in a very gentle way.
03:31Following that, it will draw some of your own blood and harness your body's regenerative
03:34properties.
03:35We'll make a little filler from that.
03:37And then some of the depressed scars, we want to inject plasma filler into those depressed
03:41scars so it can release growth factors to help your skin heal and boost that collagen
03:45synthesis so it can be more even.
03:47And then we're going to drive that into the skin with microneedling.
03:50Okay, are you excited?
03:52I'm very excited.
03:53Well, let's start with the BBL.
03:55First, I'm going to prep her skin.
03:56We're going to cleanse her skin free of any makeup.
03:59We're going to wipe it down to make sure it's perfectly sterile.
04:03We're first going to start with the BBL portion.
04:05This is the blue light to kill off any bacteria, reduce inflammation, and target the source of
04:12the acne breakout.
04:13While she's numbing for her Moxie laser, we're going to draw her blood to make the regenerative
04:19portion of this biofacial.
04:21We're going to spin the blood and centrifuge the blood to separate out the plasma from
04:25the red blood cells.
04:27Then we're going to heat the PRP to make a filler from her own blood.
04:31Then we're going to use PRF.
04:34It's filled with growth factors and platelets and healing goodies and mix it with the gel that
04:40she made.
04:41Here we are mixing the platelet-rich plasma with the biofiller and we're getting ready
04:47for injection.
04:48Now we're ready for the Moxie laser.
04:49We're wiping off her numbing medication and prepping her skin again.
04:52Here we're doing the Moxie laser to resurface the top layer of her skin.
04:57You can see that her skin is a little bit red with multiple passes of the Moxie laser.
05:01She is done with the Moxie laser and we are ready for the regenerative portion of the facial.
05:06First, we're going to inject the filler that was made from her own blood into the craters
05:11of her acne scar to help produce collagen.
05:14Then we're going to microneedle the rest of her platelet-rich plasma into her face for
05:19a regenerative effect.
05:20Lastly, to top it off, we're applying a cooling mask.
05:23This is going to feel really good.
05:24We're also adding a little bit of silver spray to help pull down the sunburn sensation.
05:29We basically targeted her acne scar from multiple directions.
05:33So going from all layers hopefully will give her a very nice skin transformation.
05:38How was that?
05:39It was great.
05:41Honestly, I think the numbing cream helped quite a bit but it wasn't as painful as I was expecting
05:48it to be.
05:48I don't know if like rough to the surface is the right word but it definitely it just
05:52feels a little bit tight.
05:53Yes, for sure.
05:54So no washing your face for 24 hours.
05:56You want all the goodness from your blood to really work.
06:00You can wash your face tomorrow with a very gentle cleanser.
06:03No actives, nothing harsh on your skin.
06:07You will start seeing the men's.
06:08These are little dots.
06:10At conversational distance, you won't really be able to see it but it's more the texture
06:14feels like sandpaper for the next five to six days.
06:18You just don't want to use anything really heavy in terms of a moisturizer, no aquaphor
06:22or anything like that.
06:23Yeah.
06:23And you should just be able to start seeing a difference in about a week.
06:27Thank you so much.
06:28My pleasure.
06:29With the BBL, I didn't really feel much but with the Moxie, it was definitely a little
06:34bit more spicy.
06:35Overall I feel great.
06:36The only painful parts really were just when they were injecting me, it just kind of felt
06:40like rubber band snaps a little bit but it wasn't something that I couldn't tolerate
06:45the pain of.
06:46Dr. Lee was great.
06:46I just felt very like she had my back with everything and having her walk me through
06:52everything.
06:52I felt like I knew what I was getting into.
06:55All in all was a great experience.
06:57Over the next week, I'm just going to be taking photos of my face, documenting the progress
07:01and see the results over time.
07:04This is about a week and a half after post-Moxie BBL treatment.
07:09And I'm really starting to notice the texture of my skin become a little smoother, which I
07:15love and I'm so excited about.
07:17If I were to keep doing it a few times, I can only imagine how the results would keep improving.
07:23But I'm overall very happy and excited about simplifying and smoothing out the texture of
07:32my skin.
