00:16musician and a contract painter and I live in Bushwick. I've been kind of
00:21crashing around trying to find my way I guess when you first come here that's
00:24what everybody does. My name is Nikki, I'm from Sydney in Australia and I've been here
00:29living in Bushwick for two months now. I am an ex-Goth but when I was a goth I
00:35struggled because I loved colour and I remember people saying, you know, well
00:40you can't be a goth if you've got really bright pink and purple hair. Pink is my
00:44spirit colour, like it's the colour of flowers, it's like the part of nature
00:48that's really bright and vibrant as well. My name is Amanda, I live in Bushwick
00:53right now and today I am walking dogs. I've been in Bushwick going on about four
00:59years now. What is Bushwick? Bushwick is an area that is changing constantly, got an
01:08influx of new people coming in. Bushwick is a cool place, you're young and you're
01:14looking to have some adventure, you'll find that in Bushwick. My name is Jo, I'm an artist. I do drawings

01:22tattooing and I've been living here for eight years. I just got a rent control
01:26apartment. I'm never moving out. It's 11-8 right now because of gentrification, it's
01:31just sad like the locals are getting pushed out and I'm part of the problem.
01:35It's different from every other area in Brooklyn for sure. This is really a creative
01:39place to be, like if you want inspiration for anything, like if you just spend a
01:43little time here, you'll be inspired to do anything. My name is Ashley. I came today
01:48because I had to pick up a lens for a photo shoot that I'm gonna be doing tomorrow. I'm
01:52actually with my friend, taking the time to walk, see the neighborhood. She draws every
02:00single aspect of life at you simultaneously and you're all juggling it, you know. That's Bushwick.
