00:00Taking off my eyelashes is like taking off my damn bra.
00:03You can go from supermodel to like a frog in like two seconds.
00:06I'm Sonia Castaneda. I'm 31.
00:09I'm really proud to be Mexican.
00:11I feel like when I walk out the door, I'm wearing a huge Mexican flag on my back.
00:15It's really important to look good because you're not only representing our family,
00:20but you're representing our culture.
00:22I've been on YouTube for five plus years.
00:25Beating in the public eye, I feel like I'm not allowed to be sad or tired.
00:30I've had some comments where like, do you have a fake nose?
00:32Because if you did, your doctor messed up.
00:35You can't gain weight or lose weight on your own healthy without people picking you apart.
00:42Body image has always been a struggle of mine.
00:46I'm always reminded of it.
00:48I'm constantly getting attacked by, you know, these ugly comments.
00:51I'm just, I'm never going to be this small, blonde and blue-eyed.
00:57It's not going to happen.
00:58Definitely beauty standards come from magazines and ads
01:02and the latest and greatest of whatever it is.
01:04But to me, when people talk about beautiful women or a beautiful person,
01:10I would think of my mom.
01:10She was really into like fashion and beauty and she always looked like a doll.
01:15We're just a very proud country and we all look good.
01:19We're representing each other.
01:22I don't want to say like we're all fabulous, but we're trying.
