00:06I had my first challenge when I tried out for the cheerleading squad and they
00:11told me I was too big. Even though I have now signed with an agency that's
00:16considered one of New York's top 10 modeling agencies, my parents still think
00:21I'm too fat. My body shape is curvy. It's so hard to compare yourself to someone
00:29six foot tall and a size two. We look at the magazines we look at TV and it's
00:35just a whole bunch of non-reality. It's ingrained in our heads that if we lose
00:40weight then we're beautiful. Believing I am going to be happy when I'm skinny is a
00:47complete bullshit myth. If somebody tells you something screw it just let it go
00:52and be yourself. I like to be called curvy. I associate myself with the size that I
01:00am now. This is how I get work. This is this is how I make a living. I think most
01:06models wish that you could just drop the plus. I know that's actually trending on
01:10Instagram drop the plus. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to add the plus in front of
01:15model like I'm second-class to skinny models. Or like do I put plus on my
01:20tinder plus model on my tinder account. It's really strange there are some
01:24people who get really mad and they're like you're not a plus size model you're
01:27a model but what they don't see personally for me is that I love being
01:32called a plus size model. I think the term plus model I don't want to take it away I
01:36think that it's empowering it's what I am. I'm happy knowing that when I was
01:41growing up I couldn't find clothes in my size and now because myself and other
01:44friends who are my size are working there are more options for us now. It's not
01:49about being a certain size but it's just about loving your body no matter what it
01:53is and where you are. Straight models are demanded to not eat or sleep knowing
02:02that if they gain a pound they won't have that next opportunity. It's okay to be
02:07who you are. It's okay to have that extra skin. You can kind of eat like a
02:12normal person. For me and my body type skinny is like a size 8 but I'm happy the
02:17size that I am now and I've never been like that. Once you start dreaming and
02:23stop trying to be something you're not and you start living that's when life
02:27truly begins. I think that you look amazing. I think that I look great. I think
02:34that people should cut us a break because there's nothing wrong with you and
02:39there's nothing wrong with me and there's nothing wrong with girls who have felt the
02:44same way that I felt. I personally did not become successful until I embraced my
02:49curves and it's not easy but when you do you'll feel so much better. Little by
02:55little like you have to learn how to love yourself because we're never gonna be
02:59perfect. Or are we already perfect?
