00:10We're here at the 2026 ACT Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, representing Toyota Hydrogen Solutions.
00:17Last year at ACT Expo, we set a lot of hydrogen-focused goals.
00:22This year is all about delivering on promises.
00:27This year, I'm very happy to say that the goals we set are well on their way to being achieved.
00:33Toyota is uniquely positioned to solve the complex challenges of this industry.
00:38For those of you on the fence about fuel cells, on behalf of the hard-working team, members in North
00:46America and around the world, let me tell you, the technology has arrived, and it's quite good.
00:53We are looking at Toyota's fuel cell hydrogen semi-truck.
00:56This truck is important to help us decarbonize because we can use it in our own Toyota logistics operations, moving
01:02our parts, moving our vehicles, and moving around in a zero-emissions way and driving the hydrogen economy.
01:08These vehicles will go to Southern California.
01:11They will be operating in our different logistics fleets, operating in greater LA, moving our parts, moving our vehicles.
01:16This truck right here is a symbol of collaboration.
01:19The agreement between Toyota and Hi-Road to bring 40 heavy-duty fuel cell class-aid trucks to the Southern
01:24California markets.
01:25We're really excited to be working with Hi-Road.
01:28The agreement is pretty straightforward.
01:30We'll be leasing 40 trucks from them.
01:33Hi-Road will be responsible, of course, for the trucks, the maintenance, the software, and the data.
01:37Hydrogen-based fuel and infrastructure in a key freight corridor is absolutely critical.
01:42We think, really, this will be the foundation for future growth and high-duty mobility in the Southern California region.
01:51In the commercial space, I'm very pleased to announce that we've secured a multi-year agreement with Air Liquide to
01:58supply liquid hydrogen fuel at our North American parts center in California.
02:02First, they will fail the needs of Class A trucks, initially for our own fleet, and then for other organizations
02:09operating fleets of fuel cell trucks.
02:12We are now signing a definitive agreement with Air Liquide to deliver liquid hydrogen to our NAPCC Ontario facility,
02:19which will be hosting a large heavy-duty truck station, as well as a light-duty station to support our
02:27Mirai customers in the future.
02:28We've been working with Toyota for, I'd say, the better part of a decade on all sorts of interesting things,
02:35which have tended to be sort of early phase development.
02:39And we are delighted that we are now, at a commercial scale, going to be delivering liquid hydrogen to NAPCC
02:46in support of those trucks and cars,
02:48leveraging our flagship asset on the West Coast, which is the North Las Vegas hydrogen liquefier,
02:54and using our advanced delivery system to reduce boil-off gases, which is a really important part of keeping the
03:01economics sound for the end-users.
03:04This provides an opportunity for us to demonstrate to our customers our commitment to hydrogen,
03:09not only on the heavy-duty side of things for our internal fleet and for the surrounding fleets that may
03:14come to use the station,
03:15but also for our light-duty customers driving Mirai that need more access to fuel, more convenient station locations,
03:22and the ability to get it at an affordable price.
03:26Here's an example of another application.
03:28This fuel cell generator can sub out diesel generators with minimal noise and zero emissions.
03:33The stationary fuel cell generator is basically the culmination of decades of Toyota fuel cell experience.
03:39We took what has been successfully proven in the Mirai, repackaged it to be an easy-to-integrate module for
03:46our fuel cell generator customers.
03:49Fuel cell stationary power is ideal for use in a variety of applications, including rural power, emergency power.
03:56If the power goes out due to an earthquake or hurricane, we can bring this generator system in, bring a
04:02source of hydrogen,
04:02and provide power to help people get back on their feet.
04:06We can also have this power be scalable.
04:09So, we can provide a single fuel cell at 80 kilowatts, or we can scale that up to over 1
04:15megawatt of power.
04:17FC1 and FC6 certification are a huge milestone for Toyota.
04:20This really enables a commercial deployment.
04:23This gives authorities, this gives customers and everyone else confidence that it's been certified to a third-party standard
04:29and is ready for prime-time use.
04:33There is no single catalyst for realizing the hydrogen society we should have, that we can have, and that we
04:41will have.
04:42At Toyota, we believe hydrogen products and infrastructures are like flowers and bees.
04:47They need each other to exist and mutually benefit one another.
04:52With over 30 years of fuel cell development experience and over 14,000 rides on California roads,
04:58Toyota's fuel cell technology is here to help lower emissions and make a difference.
