00:08I've seen those kind of videos and I'm just happy that my music is bringing confidence

00:22I've been collaborating with South Africans, you know what I'm saying, for a while now.

00:28And my last trip to South Africa, that's all they were playing everywhere.
00:33And jazz is basically a maestro.
00:35When I was recording this album, I hit him up, I was like, yo, you have to bless me with

00:39And he sent me a couple ideas.
00:41And as soon as I pressed play on the instrumental and the idea, you know, that was sent to me
00:47by him and JL, I fell in love with it.

04:31It's a full circle moment for me, like now everybody's proud of me and now we're standing
04:35in the same place we used to have to hide to be in and now we're shooting the whole music
04:39video.
04:40Like we were laughing like, yo, 15 years ago, my dad would never allow this happen.
04:45But obviously he's seen the growth, he's seen how dedicated he's been.
04:48You know, he's seen this stuff from the beginning.
04:50And for it to blossom into this whole global phenomenon, like it was amazing for him to
04:54see.
05:03It's really a song about knowing your worth, self-confidence.

05:12It's a record I did, not only for myself, but for anybody out there, you know, that's

05:29You know, I thank God I'm lucky, I'm blessed that I didn't have to suffer for too long.

05:38But prior to then, I was an engineer, I was a songwriter.
