00:00Jesus Christ has been a friend to us. He has given us a gift, the gift of salvation, the gift
00:07to be
00:07redeemed, the gift to be known by God for all of eternity. And we're wanting to talk about this
00:16free gift given unto us because there was nothing that we could do to earn this gift. This gift
00:22does not come by good works, nothing that we could do to deserve this gift. This is a gift freely
00:28given and it's simply by the mercy and the grace of Jesus Christ. When we talk about grace,
00:36we're talking about something that's given unto us, something that's given unto us undeservingly.
00:44And when we talk about mercy, it's not giving us that which we do deserve, for we deserve an
00:51eternity in hell. I say that not lightly, but that's what we deserve due to our sins. But Jesus
00:57Christ has given us the gift that we could have everlasting life.
