00:06We've been a part of each other's lives for 30 or 40 years.
00:09Most of Liberty Bell Bay's 200 employees were officially terminated today,
00:15emptying their lockers for the last time.
00:19It's been 30 odd years at one place, one work place, it's a bit hard to take.
00:23It's been a rollercoaster ride for the last 12 months, but unfortunately these things happen and we've just got to
00:33move on and accept it.
00:35The smelter entered administration in March due to financial issues with its former owner, Sanjeev Gupta's GFG Alliance.
00:44Administrators had been in talks with a consortium looking to buy it, but that deal collapsed last week.
00:51We've watched $15 million of energy pricing being put ahead of jobs and the community.

01:07We've done everything we possibly can with $150 million on the table.
01:12Former workers who want support with things like getting their resumes up to date will be able to attend an
01:18employment hub here at the Georgetown Library from tomorrow.
01:22There'll also be drop-in sessions available over the next two weeks for those living in Launceston, La Gana, Exeter
01:29and Beaconsfield.
