00:20But maybe they should pay us some damages or something, or we should do some tariffs.

00:26I mean, you had businesses closing.
00:28In particular, Michigan, if you look at Detroit, the Detroit-Michigan area, they had to close everything.
00:34They had to close car plants and a lot of other things.
00:37So I've never remembered this happening.
00:40Over the last four or five years, you saw it starting to take place.
00:44I've never remembered it happening.
00:51Yesterday, once again, Donald Trump called on Canada to better manage their forests.
00:55He doesn't want so much smoke to go to the U.S.
00:57He threatens to put new terrorists on Canada if there's more wildfires.
01:03What do you respond to that?
01:04Well, it's disappointing, to say the least.
01:06And a message to President Trump is, if he actually does his due diligence,
01:11one of the largest fires started for Minnesota.
01:13And that's not a knock against when we couldn't get the water in the plains because they had a problem.
01:18I've got to remind President Trump that there's 3.9 million acres burning in the United States right now.
01:26And if we had resources, we would send them down to our closest friends and allies.
01:30So, you know something?
01:32Rather than criticize and threaten Canada, your closest friends,
01:36maybe one day you're going to need our help like you did last year and we deployed the people.
01:41I get frustrated just listening to that bunch of rubbish.
01:49And going back to President Trump, because he got me on a roll right now.
01:52With all the assets the U.S. has, and he's sitting there complaining,
01:56why don't you send up some water bombers?
01:58Why don't you start helping us?

02:09It's unacceptable that President Trump still wants to tariff us and rather than help us.

02:18Out of 50 states, I only had Governor Healy ask, hey, how's it going from Massachusetts?
02:25And can I help you with anything?
02:27And rather than sit there and complain,
02:30why don't we see some help from President Trump
02:34and send up some water bombers?
02:36But then again, they have thousands of fires going in the U.S. right now.
02:40But you don't hear Canada ever complain
02:42about smoke going from, let's say,
02:46California at the time into British Columbia
02:47or over in Alberta.
02:49We're doing everything we can.
02:51It's an act of Mother Nature.
02:52It happens.
02:53It happens around the world.
02:54As we've seen around the world,
02:56no matter if it's France or Ireland or other places around the world,
02:59in Australia.
03:01And we just believe in supporting our neighbors.
03:05And it's unfortunate that the president doesn't believe in supporting our neighbors.
03:10But folks, that's not going to be dangerous.
03:12We need to develop Americans.
03:13I differentiate between the American people
03:16and the great governors versus President Trump.
