00:00Hi, I'm the Secretary of the Board of Men's Shed, this is our new men's shed which has been in
00:04operation since October last year.
00:06We got a grant from East Hampton District Council for £25,000 a pound and we can port these two
00:12cabins from Wernick's on the Contraby Ground Belt.
00:16At the end, what we call our cleaning workshop, which is an assembly and all the racking for all our
00:23bits and pieces.
00:24We have various tools here, we've got drill stands, we've got band saws, two band saws, drop saw there, lathes,
00:33and a tanging machine at the bottom there.
00:39Hello everyone.
00:44One thing for certain is that I'm glad that this man's shed has finally been opened.
00:50I mean it took, what, four years? Man, well, now we can enjoy the benefits of it, don't we?
00:59Thank you for inviting me to this opening. Bless.
01:02I mean it's great to see the Board of Men's Shed finally opening, testament to all the hard work that's
01:08been put in by volunteers and those who are making a difference.
01:12And it does make a difference to the lives of the people who use it.
01:16And I'm really pleased that East Hamster District Council funding was used to help facilitate it.
01:23So I can't wait to see the ribbon cut and to see the men's shed used moving forward.
01:27So well done everyone involved.
01:28Thanks a lot.
