00:00My name is Oscar McMahon. I'm one of the founders of Young Henry's Brewing and we
00:04are here in Newtown. The original idea for Young Henry's was to create a beer
00:11company that was in contact with the people that drank the beer. Before
00:17opening Young Henry's I worked in bars and I've played guitars. Technically I'm
00:23still doing both. Young Henry's has always been involved in supporting the
00:27arts. A lot of Young Henry's staff are ex-musicians and artists, DJs. We've all
00:35found beer. We have set up some amazing relationships. We will do a lot of work
00:41with charities, exhibitions, a lot of independent musicians. We've always tried
00:47to have a company which stood for something that actually has a heart, you
00:52know, has beliefs, has an ethos, likes to have fun as well. I think that's very
00:56important. We have a little bit of a split model when it comes to our beers. Our
01:03natural lager and our new towner, they are beers that are for drinking every day.
01:08And then we do fun limited release stuff which is a bit bigger, a bit richer, weird
01:15concepts or we do collaborations with different people. Those beers are designed
01:20to have fun, work on new ideas, keep inspired, keep fresh. As well as being a brewery
01:26what you see behind us is a still. So a couple of years ago we started making
01:32gin. Last week we won a silver medal at the San Francisco Liquor Awards which is
01:36really cool. We have something written on the wall in our office that says growth is
01:42only acceptable if it's in our way. I think that's the most difficult thing and
01:49most important thing for the future is to maintain who we are now.
