00:00The Mace is Minecraft's strongest item, and today I'm going to be attempting to master it by using

00:04secret techniques only the pros know about. And if you watch till the end, you might learn something

00:09too. Enjoy. Alright, going into the first Mace game of the video. Guys, I have not played Mace

00:14in literally like a month probably. It's been a minute because of vacations. But I do know some

00:20things now after watching tier 1 montage gameplay. So we can do this thing, combine the enderpearl

00:25with the wind charge to go up, and boom! We already got a totem pop. That's really huge for us.

00:30We can also, what's it called, get more distance on them if I need to by gliding with my elytra.

00:35I'll try to show an example. Like, if I can't quite reach them, I'll point it out when it happens,

00:39then I'll just switch to my elytra to get closer to them and hopefully get another hit. And okay,

00:44he goes up there, dodges my hit there. We're just gonna hold shield and hopefully he doesn't

00:48break it. Okay, we're good. Did not hit that. Here we go. Here's a good example. You see there,

00:53I glid, or I glid, oh wait, what's the word? I glided using the elytra to try to catch them.

01:00I didn't put it on in time though, so it wouldn't have hit anyways, but boom, let's hold shield.

01:04I'm also switching from my sword to my density mace right before I hit because it's, I forget

01:11what it's called. I think it's just a attribute swap and that, I need to break a shield. That makes

01:16your attacks do more damage when you land them. So, okay. If he's gonna be doing the shield,

01:21I need to get my axe ready to counter that. Okay, here we go. We could kill him here. Nice,

01:27there's a hit. And right there, I should have glided with my elytra, but my muscle memory is not there

01:32yet, so. Oh, how did that not kill him? What? Okay, surely. If I hit that, we would have died.

01:38Watch how I switch from my, oh, also I don't have strength on. Can I kill him here? Wait.

01:43Oh my god. Okay, okay, we, we, we throw a little bit. Let's get out of here. As I was

01:48I need my strength and speed. Okay, let's get back. And guys, the gameplay I'm doing is not

01:52optimal by any means, so I'm sure a lot of you guys are gonna comment like, why did you do

01:57here? Don't worry. I'm learning. Here we go. I'm gonna glide towards him. And you can see the glide

02:03let me get that perfect amount of distance that I needed. I'm gonna use a breach swap here to pop

02:07his totem, which is just switching to my breach mace with the attribute swapping. And oh my gosh,

02:12he almost killed him right there. And we just killed him with like two breach swaps. Let's go.

02:16So that was the first round. As you can see, like I have learned a few things since my last

02:20video was

02:20on mace like a month or two ago. But as you can see, we are still not good by any

02:25means. Hey,

02:26we'll see if we win most of these today. I think I can beat new players pretty easily now. But

02:31if I

02:31fight like a tier four mace player, I'm probably gonna get cooked. Okay, interesting strategy from

02:36someone random. Let's go up in the air, do one of these. I don't know what this is called. And

02:41failed it. What is this called guys? Pearl plus wind charge combo. Okay, I missed it again. We

02:48can just do some breach swap here and almost one shot bro. We get the totem pop. As you can

02:53see,

02:53breach swapping on its own is like already really broken. I could probably kill him if I was better

02:58there and actually hit my crits with the right timing. But we can pop a second totem almost.

03:05I'm just spamming the breach swap and it's actually working. I'm not gonna do this every game so I can

03:09actually get better at the rest of the kit. But yeah, now that he's out of totems, let's try to

03:14kill him with a density hit. Okay, let's glide and oh, nearly. I think I would have been able to

03:20kill

03:20him if I switched to my sword before macing him there. Get the attribute swap extra damage. And

03:26you can see I tried to do the mace with what's it called? Axe combo there, but wasn't fast enough.

03:31Okay, my muscle memory is not here yet. It's like if you're learning crystal for the first time,

03:35you're not gonna be able to do a hit crystal off the bat. This is me with all my key

03:40buttons right

03:40now. Oh my gosh, I put on my elytra. I was close. But yeah, as you can see, my reactions

03:47are kind

03:47of slow. Like I don't even know what I'm doing there. We also need more potions. Can't forget

03:51about that. But the good thing is we are doing better than a month ago without even practicing.

03:57So W improvement. And that almost killed him. Okay, let's go up here like this or not. Okay,

04:04this is the thing I need to work on guys. How do I get better at that? Because I just

04:07feel it

04:07three times in a row. How do you get more consistent at that? We need to counter his

04:11shield by having our axe ready like that. Except I didn't hit the axe hit. There we go. That's what

04:18I meant to do. And there we go. That was a perfect example of switching to the elytra to glide,

04:23get that extra distance into the final hit. All right, going into game three. We have won the first

04:43there. Okay, I need to like lock in. We do hit that. Didn't do too much damage though. Okay,

04:49let's do this. Oh, I could have hit that. I just straight up missed my axe. My mace hit. Okay,

04:55almost got him there. As you can see, like I'm trying to do the glide thing. But whenever I try

05:00to do it,

05:00because I haven't practiced it, I do it too low and I don't have enough time to actually make it

05:05worth. Oh, imagine if that one hit. Oh, guys, this is the thing about mace. A lot of the time,

05:11you're going to miss hits like that unless you're really good. But hey, once you do,

05:15you can put it in the montage and it looks crazy. Okay, we're going to use the axe to break

05:19his

05:19shield. I should have probably pearl onto him there. That's a situation where you can use an ender

05:24pearl onto the hitbox and get the upper round, which lets you mace them easier. Okay,

05:29I'm going to heal here. But a tip I learned is heal while you're midair so that you are

05:33a lot safer. Oh, nice. It actually hits. Where'd he go? I lost him for a second. Let's go here.

05:39Dang it. I keep, I need to remember to use my axe to break the shield first because he's actually

05:43using the shield. There we go. We broke it, but we didn't hit the mace hit. That's really hard for

05:48me to do. Hit a axe like shield break and mace hit while I'm falling in one combo. I know

05:54it's

05:54possible. I've done it before, but it's pretty inconsistent for me right now. It just takes a lot

05:59of hotkeys, a lot of hotkeys, which is good because I play crystals. So at least I know

06:04how to do that. All right, let's go in here. We have more potions. Okay, break the shield.

06:10He didn't even use it that time. Pull our shield up. You can see my hopper was spamming the axe.

06:15I can't tell if I'm just switching away from the axe early or what I'm doing wrong, but it's

06:19not breaking his shield. There we go. We finally did it. And I should have probably glided there

06:24to reach him. Okay, I'm going to get out of there. Got a little low on HP. There we go.

06:30And yep, there was the shield again. He's using the shield pretty well, so I need to counter it and

06:34actually break it with my axe like this. Oh, never mind. We don't even need to. Okay, glide. And nice.

06:42I don't know if I popped both those totems, but we killed him. Okay, game four. Wait, we're fighting

06:46the same guy again. Running back? Can I beat him again? He was not too bad. I can't tell if

06:53these

06:53people are good or not because I'm just really bad, but hey, we beat him. There we go. Glide

06:58action. You guys see this gliding action? Perfect. I did three in a row because of that. Okay, we can

07:03probably kill him here where you lock in. Ah, I could have done that better. It's fine though. Go in

07:08the air. Actually, we need the shield. Hopefully he doesn't break it. Nice. Oh, that was close.

07:13Got to work on having good ender pearl timings as well because as you can see, if I timed that

07:17a

07:18little off, aimed higher, I would have popped the totem there for sure. Okay, nice. I also need to

07:23work on getting my attribute swap more consistently because when I glide, I forget to switch back to

07:28my sword. Oh my gosh. Old shield. Like, where's my pearl? Did I not throw a pearl? I thought I

07:35threw a pearl there, but that was close. If he was better, he definitely could have killed me right

07:39there. Okay, let's go up in the air. I didn't even put my elytra on. Whoops. Oh my gosh. Old

07:45shield.

07:47Yikes. Again, mistake there. I need to gap while I'm midair so I don't die. Also, my chest play

07:53wasn't on. Oh no. See, I don't even notice when stuff like that happens. It's just like

07:58I'm not good. Okay. Old shield. My potions about to run out. Let's go over here. Let's

08:04just put them on early. Might as well. Okay. Go in the air and here we go. I missed. I

08:11missed.

08:12Dang, that's crazy. I break the shield. I missed the mace hit though. We got half of it there.

08:18Dang, that is so hard to do consistently. I don't know how the tier one players do that.

08:23They're just really good at hotkeys, I guess. There we go though. Let's glide. Almost. Oh,

08:27we do hit his second hit. Nice. We didn't have the altitude, so it didn't do that much damage,

08:32but nice shield block from him. Okay, let's hold our shield that time. Let's go up. I try to pearl

08:39into his hitbox. Oh my gosh. That should have killed me right there. Let's go up. Let's do one of

08:43these and fail. I can never do that, I swear. Okay. What am I doing? I'm kind of just dancing

08:50around right now. I need to like actually play better. Let's go up. Can't hit him because his

08:56shield's up. Oh my gosh. This guy's pretty good at using the shield. We need to just break it and

09:01be ready for that axe. Okay, here we go. We're going to glide. Boom. Go back up in the air.

09:07Oh my gosh.

09:09Oh, that was a good play from him. What I tried to do there was hit his hitbox with the

09:13pearl so I

09:14could get the high ground, but it did not work. Nice mace hit from this guy. Okay, let's put it

09:19out of here before I die. Also go in the air to hit one of these and also heal. Perfect

09:24healing example.

09:26Let's go in. I tried to break a shield again, but I'm not fast enough with it. I could just

09:31reach

09:31swap for the wind too. Too many items in this mode to talk about. Nice. I hit the hitbox with

09:38the ender pearl. Oh, I probably could have killed him if I hit that, but bro pearl away. Perfect

09:42timing. This guy's pretty good. Okay, here we go. Let's hold our shield up. Let's go up. Hold our

09:48shield again. He did break it. That was close. Could have killed me right there. My helmet's also

09:53getting kind of low. We don't have XP in this kit, so we got to be careful and kind of

09:57apply some

09:57pressure soon. Oh, nice. Nice. Okay, let's just hold our shield. Perfect. Hit a hit maybe or not.

10:07Okay, let's go up here. Glide a little bit. Nice. Oh, I didn't have enough downward momentum.

10:13If I waited another second before I hit that, I probably could have killed him. Also, I don't

10:18have strength of speed on. No. I think we could have killed him with the breach swap there if we

10:22had strength on, guys. We know he's going to use the shield, so we got to get ready with the

10:25axe here.

10:27Okay, I probably didn't need to that time. There we go. Go up. Oh, nice. I should have glided right

10:34there. I keep trying to say glowed or glid. That is not a word. Okay, nice. Go for the breach

10:40swap

10:41and breach swap for the win. Okay, pretty good gameplay. I think that was game four or five.

10:45And I know some of y'all are going to comment like, yo, I'm still trash. Yes, you can see

10:50there's a lot

10:50of things I'm messing up. If I was fighting a tiered player, I would get rolled, but hey, this is

10:54improvement for me, so we are happy about it. And oh, it's a high tier five. Okay, we can see

10:59how

10:59good I am compared to a high tier five. So yeah, how bad will I get rolled? Surely he's not

11:05like

11:05too crazy compared to me, right? Surely I can stand a chance maybe? Oh, I didn't put my light

11:11or my chest plate on. Could have popped this totem if I had it. Okay, nice. It's stuff like that.

11:38Oh, I was gonna say he might do a shield there. He hasn't used a shield yet though. Nice. Glide.

11:46Use some attribute swapping to get more damage. Oh my god. Never mind. I gotta block that first.

11:51Oh my gosh. Yep. Yep. Yep. I saw that coming. Hold shield up because he's trying to breach swap me.

11:56He's playing aggro, so we have to get out of here. What I should do actually is just do this.

12:01This is the best thing to do actually, which didn't work by the way. It didn't work. How do I

12:06do that

12:07more consistently is my question. If you didn't know, you can use breach mace while you're on the

12:10ground below seven blocks. It's more damage and we might have the win here. One more hit.

12:16Oh, nearly in range there. Okay, it's fine. It's fine. I think we're winning right now.

12:21Let's do another one of these. You can see like if I just aim straight up, I think it's easier

12:26to hit

12:26whatever that is called. Oh, try to go for the sneaky mace hit right there. Okay, here we go.

12:32Can we catch this guy? Is this going to do any damage? No, did not. Okay, let's try to hit

12:39I'm going to have to use a glide tactic to reach him because he keeps hitting me.

12:44Okay, nice. 360 or 180 hit. Oh my gosh, I almost died. Oh, there we go. There's a hit.

12:51Break it and breach swap for the win. Almost. If I was quicker with my breach swap,

12:56I would have killed him right there. Here we go. Oh my gosh, that's a hit. We don't have strength

13:01on now. Let's get strength. Honestly, mace is kind of fun the more you learn it. Although it sucks when

13:08you can't hit anything, but hey, I'm having more fun now to be honest. Y'all were right in the

13:12comments. This is a fun mode. Okay, we got to be careful. I missed that thing. Let's just get ready

13:17to shield because he saw it. Let's glide a little bit. Oh my god, the 180 turnaround. I just tabbed

13:32tabbed out because I moved while my inventory was open, my mouse to my other monitor and clicked.

16:04I used the wrong mace. I used the breach swap one. I wasn't high enough to kill him anyway,

17:52totems left, guys. Let's hit one of these. Let's get some more potions. Nice. Now what do I do?

18:09I tried to put on this hitbox. That's really hard to do if you're not straight on.

18:12Um, oh my gosh, bro just broke my shield and hit me multiple times. Wow, great gameplay from this

18:20guy. See, even though he didn't have a tear above his head, that might be like an alt account or

18:24something because bro definitely plays the mode. Maybe he just never tested and he just plays it a

18:28lot, but geez, that is some good gameplay. Okay, who we got next? Uh, it's hard to see people's names

18:33in this because they're always flying at the start. Let's hit one of these. I need to be higher when

18:37start doing the glide because otherwise it's not even worth it. There we go. Oh my gosh,

18:43that is some hard keybinding, guys. Switching from your elytra and then your sword into the

18:48attribute swap with the density mace. That is hard to do. I don't even know if my keybinds are good

18:53for that because my elytra's on three and then my sword's on one. So yeah, I don't even know if

19:00keybinds are good for that, but we've done it before, I think. So hey, let's get some more potions.

19:06Nice. Get some more wind charges, pearls. Let's go in the air and then nice. We did it there. See,

19:12that was a good example of the attribute swap. I just need more height and I could one-shot them.

19:16There we go. I'm getting the muscle memory down, guys, even within this one recording. You guys are

19:22seeing me improve so much in like a few minutes. Ah, I tried to do the elytra swap into the

19:29swap there. There's so many swaps in this game mode. Okay, he has his elytra. We can just kill

19:35him. We can just kill him. Okay, we can do the pearl thing like I said earlier. Hit the axe

19:41and then... I just missed all my hits so I just gave up for a sec. Guys, I'm honestly having

19:48of fun learning mace, practicing mace, so thank you for the comments telling me to play it. I will also

19:53be playing more SMP because I've seen a lot of y'all comments to play that mode. We hit our

19:58first hit.

19:59Let's hold up our shield. In that situation, I should probably hit one of these to get the high

20:56with one of these, which is what I'm trying to do. I just keep forgetting to do it. Oh,

21:26optimized for this, because it's really hard to switch from the elytra into the sword for the

21:31attribute swap, and then mace. It's pretty hard. Okay, here we go. We hit one hit. Nice. Two hits,

21:39and oh, if I could hit that one more hit, bro would have died, or popped the totem at least.

21:44Okay, here we go. Let's follow. Let's go in the air. Get some altitude. Let's hit this. Oh,

21:50that was a crazy block with the shield. Do you see that? That timing was perfect,

21:55but it flipped around instantly. Let's go up and miss, because we're bad. Let's go up. Get some

22:02altitude. Nice. We did it that time. Oh my gosh. Perfect. Perfect hit right there. That's what I
