00:04serious. On April 15th, 2026, Ice Spice was sitting in a booth at a Hollywood McDonald's
00:10on Vine Street with a friend. It was around 2 in the morning. Security footage obtained by TMZ
00:15shows the two of them eating and talking. Then a woman jogs up to the table and starts talking to
00:20them. She tries to get Ice Spice's friend to slide over so she can sit with them. Ice Spice and
00:25her
00:25friend are not into it. In the footage, you can see the rapper point toward the door, signaling for
00:30the woman to leave. Now this is where things shift. The woman, later identified as Viya, does not take
00:35kindly to being dismissed. In the security footage, the woman asks Ice Spice where she's from. According
00:41to Billboard's reporting, Ice Spice responded with, I'm from McDonald's. That answer did not sit well.
00:46The woman then leans in and slaps Ice Spice right there in the restaurant. After the slap, Ice Spice
00:51does not sit still. She stands up in the booth and jumps from table to table chasing after the woman.
00:57A man, believed to be with Viya, steps in and drags her away and leads her out of the building,
01:02but the situation does not end there. TMZ also obtained cell phone footage from outside the
01:08McDonald's. In that footage, you can see Ice Spice picking up a phone from the ground that belonged to
01:13someone in Viya's group. She allegedly smashed it. Words are exchanged. Curse words fly back and forth.
01:19Then, while they are crossing the street, the fan throws another punch at Ice Spice.
01:23A second fight breaks out on the pavement. According to footage reviewed by multiple outlets,
01:28both women end up on the ground during this part of the confrontation. At one point in the outside
01:32footage, Ice Spice is heard confronting a man who appeared to be intervening, telling him to let her
01:37fight the woman. Now here is where the two sides of this story split. Ice Spice's attorney,
01:41Bradford Cohen, spoke with TMZ and Billboard and called this an unprovoked attack. He stated that
01:47the incident has been reported to the LAPD and that they will be pursuing all avenues
01:51to hold the perpetrators responsible, both criminally and civilly. Cohen also said they
01:56are exploring holding the McDonald's location responsible for what he called a lack of appropriate
02:01security. He went further, saying the individuals involved did not realize they would get the
02:06security footage from inside the restaurant. He claimed they turned their cameras on after the
02:10initial attack as if to set his client up and go viral. He said the only thing going viral for
02:15them
02:15would be their mugshots. But Vaya has a different account. She spoke with TMZ and gave her version
02:20of events. According to her, she was with friends and they had been walking around Hollywood after
02:25a night at the beach. They stopped at the McDonald's and one of her friends recognized Ice Spice.
02:30Vaya says she approached the table to give the rapper and her friend a compliment.
02:33She claims Ice Spice was immediately dismissive and told her to leave. Vaya alleges Ice Spice called
02:39her a certain word and that is what led her to slap the rapper. She also claims that after the
02:44fight
02:44moved outside, Ice Spice broke her friend's phone screen. She told TMZ she lost a fan and can't
02:49listen to Ice Spice the same anymore. The security footage, however, tells a more complete picture.
02:54Multiple outlets note that the footage shows Vaya approaching the table uninvited and attempting to
02:59sit down before any words were exchanged. Ice Spice can be seen motioning for her to leave before the
03:04confrontation turns physical. Bradford Cohen pointed to this footage as evidence that the attack was
03:09unprovoked and that the other party initiated the physical contact. As for Ice Spice herself,
03:14she responded to the whole situation on X two days later. She posted the security footage with
03:19a short message that read, this wouldn't happen at Wendy's. According to TMZ's sources,
03:23Ice Spice was actually in Los Angeles to shoot a commercial for Wendy's, which adds context to the
03:28joke. Her friend who was with her at the McDonald's also broke her silence on Instagram,
03:33sharing a tweet that made light of the situation. And even Charles Barkley got in on it during
03:37Inside the NBA, introducing the topic by saying there were some slappy happy meals going on,
03:42which had the entire crew in the studio laughing. The LAPD has confirmed the incident is under review.
03:48Ice Spice's legal team has filed a report. Whether criminal charges follow or a civil suit is filed
03:53remains to be seen. But one thing is clear, Ice Spice was eating a meal, a woman approached uninvited,
03:59and the whole thing ended up on the pavement outside a fast food restaurant at two in the morning in
