00:20But for my wisdom, by knowing all noble things
00:24Souls go before me, without their covering
00:29No soul returns from the kingdom
00:32The road to Hades, is the easiest to travel
00:35The decent is the same from every place
00:38No man takes with him, to my realm
00:41All his exceeding wealth
00:44I am king of the dead
00:46Hades, is my name
00:51Hades, is the ancient Greek god of the dead
00:54And the underworld, a place where human souls go after death
00:58And is identified, with the name, Pluto, by the Romans
01:03He was the ruler of the invisible world, the unseen one
01:07The infernal Zeus
01:09The host of many, the attractor of men, the grizzly god
01:13He was also called, the god of wealth, or the rich one
01:18Because he possessed the precious metals, of the earth
01:22Hades, was the oldest male child, of the titans, Cronus, and Rhea
01:28After being rescued by Zeus, from the belly of their father, Cronus
01:32Hades joined him in the war, against the titans
01:35The Olympians, defeated their father, and his titan brethren, to end their reign, thereby claiming rulership, over the universe
01:45Zeus ruled over the skies, Hades, the underworld, and Poseidon, the seas
01:52Hades is depicted, as a stern, and unyielding god, grim, and ghastly, unmoved by prayer, and sacrifice
02:01He often wears, a helmet, known as the helm of darkness, or the cap of invisibility, which grants the power
02:08of invisibility, to its wearer
02:10Thus, this is why he is called, the unseen one
02:15In his kingdom, Hades, sits on a throne, made of ebony, and carries a sceptre, or sometimes, the bident, which
02:24is a dew crumb fork, modelled after Poseidon's trident
02:27He was not intrigued, by human affairs, and almost never left his kingdom, except on rare occasions, such as when
02:36he travelled to the mortal world, to abduct Persephone, the daughter of the goddess, Demeter, whom he had fallen in
02:43love with
02:43The Narcissus, the Promegranate, and the Cyprus, are some of his sacred symbols
02:50The realm of Hades, lies between secret places, of the earth, and to get there, one must cross the oceans
02:58The deceased, entered the underworld, with the help of Charon, the ferryman of Hades, whose duty, was to carry dead
03:06souls, across the Acheron, and Styx rivers, that divided the world of the living, from the world of the dead
03:13The underworld, had five magical rivers, each with a symbolic meaning
03:19The Phlegethon river, represented fire, the Lethe river, represented oblivion
03:25The Acheron river, represented sorrow, or grief
03:28The Kokytus river, represented lamentation
03:31And lastly, the Styx river, represented hate
03:35And is the principal river in the underworld, which formed the boundary, between the upper, and lower worlds
03:41The Greek gods, swore upon the river Styx
03:45So sacred, was their oath, that if any god was guilty, of breaking this oath, he was deprived of nectar,
03:53and ambrosia, the divine drink, and food of the gods
03:57Hades, charged the fearsome, three-headed dog, Cerberus, with guarding the entrance, to the underworld
04:04And the beast, is usually beside him
04:08In addition, he was served by the Furies, whom he gave the responsibility, of torturing the guilty souls, for eternity
04:19In addition, he got a good work-inYUI
