Peppa Pig has found herself in the middle of a feud after appearing to shade Clairo, prompting Charli xcx and PinkPantheress to leap to the singer's defence.
The drama kicked off on Tuesday (7 July), when the cartoon character took part in Pitchfork's "Over/Under" video series.
Asked whether Clairo was over or underrated, Peppa threw a pointed look at the camera and said: "I don't know her."
Fans quickly clocked the shady response, and Charli xcx joined in to back her fellow musician. "Let's f*ck her up," she wrote alongside a screenshot of Peppa's comment in a text to Clairo, who shared it on X.
PinkPantheress got involved after noticing that Peppa had actually praised her in the same video, calling her "underrated" and adding: "Does she like animals? Maybe she would like me, because I'm pink too. And everyone likes me."
Despite the compliment, PinkPantheress remained loyal, responding on X: "ain't sh– sweet until you put respect on clairo."
The beef goes deeper.
In Clairo's own "Over/Under" episode back in 2019, when she was asked to rate Peppa. "Can I tell you something about Peppa Pig? She's 7'1"... she's the tallest pig in the world. I'mma say underrated, just because I don't know any taller pigs," she said.
