00:25What's the most fun thing you've done outside of tennis lately?
00:28Lately? I went to the Bad Bunny concert. I was in La Casita, so that was super fun.
00:34I had a mini-girls trip with my friends and it was so memorable in Stockholm.
00:38And what are you looking forward to after that, after the Bad Bunny concert?
00:43Of course. I mean, my whole week here at home is jam-packed, so I'm super excited.
00:49I'm only halfway, but I feel like pigang-piga na ako.
00:53But you know, Alex, you've had a different kind of childhood.
00:56At 13, you had to go to Spain to train.
00:58I mean, is that something that you would encourage your daughter to do as well?
01:02If she really wanted to do it, then yes.
01:07Well, I'm years away from that, right?
01:10But I think that I'm so lucky that I had that opportunity and that my family backed me with that.
01:19And when I heard about that opportunity, this 13-year-old girl, she was like, yes, so excited.
01:25So, never look back.
01:27Must have been so hard for your parents to let you go at 13.
01:29That was such a big sacrifice on their part, right?
01:32I asked them, but I think so.
01:34I think, yes.
01:35What do you want to tell your mom?
01:37She's always been, but you know, believe ako sa kanya kasi pag medyong wild na kanilat, she's towik pa rin.
01:42Yes, she has become iconic.
01:44She's been iconic.
01:45She has.
01:46But thank you, mom.
01:48I love you.
01:49How about for your dad?
01:51Thank you, dad.
01:51I love you.
01:54Woman, a few words.
01:56But how about your lolo?
01:58You always pay tribute to your lolo.
02:00What would you like to tell him right now?
02:01He's been there.
02:03He's been your source of inspiration all these years.
02:06I never really thought about that.
02:08I think about how he would react, how he would, what he would do.
02:14And it's funny because I think that I know exactly how he'd react to what I've been doing.
02:20But, yeah, I think.
02:22What would that reaction be?
02:25Silently proud.
02:26Yeah, but I'd probably tell him that I hope he's proud of me.
02:29You know what?
02:29Many girls must envy you in a good way.
02:32But is there also something that you envy?
02:34Girls who lead a normal life, so to speak.
02:37I don't like the word envy.
02:39In a good way.
02:40In a good way, yeah.
02:45You know, I always look at one thing I value so much in my life is girlhood and friendships.
02:52I think it's so important, especially at the age that I'm at.
02:56And they're really the ones who also give me a break from my life when it gets crazy sometimes.
03:03So whenever I look at the genuine friendship and girls uplifting each other, although I'm also surrounded by that, and
03:10I guess that's what I get envious of in a good way.
03:13Although I also have that in my life, which I'm so grateful for, yeah.
03:17And which leads me to my next question.
03:18With your talent, your beauty, your charm, your grace, your skill, everything, no?
03:24Your humor, no?
03:25What's your message to all the admirers out there who want to, no, apply?
03:31Who want to apply?
03:32Apply as friends?
03:34No.
03:35What would you like to tell them?
03:39Thank you for the admiration and thank you for the support.
03:43And I hope to meet you guys at some point.
03:47But hanggang dun lang.
03:50Depende, depende, depende.
03:52We'll see.
03:52Okay, depende ha.
03:53That means open ka.
03:55Oh, sige, ano lang hinahanap mo sa isang guy?
03:58Oh my god.
03:59Oh my god, ang dami ko.
04:00I have so much to think about outside of boys.
04:05But I believe that if the time's right, it will come when it needs to be there, right?
04:13Yeah.
04:13So if it comes, I'll let it come.
04:16My last question.
04:18You know, you've come a long, long way since that girl with chubby cheeks, ruffled socks,
04:24you know, light up shoes.
04:25What would you like to tell that girl now?
04:28What would you like to thank her for, for sacrificing that has brought you to where you are right now?
04:33It's so crazy when I'm asked that question because, I mean, that's the same girl.
04:38It's just one girl in an extended period of time.
04:41I would say that I'm proud of her.
04:43I would say that keep going and that I'm excited for her journey because she's only at the beginning.
04:50Anything else you pray for?
04:51I pray for health, my family's health, my happiness, my family's happiness.
04:58And yes, yeah, those things.
05:01Thank you so very much for your time.
