Olympic gold medallist Saya Sakakibara says she's riding an emotional rollercoaster ahead of the UCI BMX World Championships in Brisbane, where the Australian star will chase the one major title still missing from her collection.

00:01I'm so excited to have this only an hour away from where I live I train here three to three
00:08days a week and it's one of my favorite tracks in the whole world so having the world championships
00:14is the biggest race in our circuit every single year having the opportunity to literally once
00:20in a career opportunity to have a home world and I can't believe it's already here I haven't been
00:28able to win that world title world championship title yet but to have to do it here it would be
00:35just I can't even explain how it would mean to me yeah I mean this is going to be a

00:48the crowd cheering for our Aussie riders it's kind of like a dream come true opportunity really the
00:53world championships is a massive event for us and really it's the biggest one of the year and to
00:59have it at home it's yeah like I said a dream come true to be able to race for the

01:04and I grew up riding here it's I grew up 20 minutes from here and I've been riding at this
01:08track since
01:09so I was like 11 years old
