00:19He remarked that talks were no longer possible despite Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's call for negotiations as the resignations had
00:27already taken effect.
00:28Four DAP representatives stepped down after the state assembly passed a bill allowing the appointment of up to seven unelected
00:36assemblymen.
00:38China Press also reported that DAP Secretary-General Liu Xiu-fuk said the party would not reverse the resignations.
00:46Rauf said the state government had accepted DAP's decision and would handle the related processes according to the state constitution
00:54and existing regulations.
