EU extends temporary protection for Ukrainians but restricts access for military-age men

Most Ukrainian men over 23 are prevented from leaving the country while it mobilises its military-age population en masse to fight Russia's full-scale invasion.

00:02Ambassadors of EU countries agreed on Wednesday to extend the temporary protection status granted to Ukrainians fleeing the war until
00:10March 2028.
