Iran has taken its dispute with the United States to the United Nations, accusing Washington of violating the June 17, 2026, Islamabad ceasefire agreement. Tehran says it has submitted a detailed letter to the UN Security Council listing 42 U.S. ceasefire violations and demanding international action.

The complaint, submitted by Iran's UN Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani, accuses the United States of undermining the agreement through military actions, pressure on Iranian oil exports, naval restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz, and continued regional operations.

Iran says the U.S. is responsible for escalating tensions and calls for urgent measures from the UN Security Council. Washington, however, has rejected Tehran's accusations and has blamed Iran for actions that it says threaten regional security and maritime stability.

In this video, we examine Iran's UN complaint, the Islamabad ceasefire dispute, the Strait of Hormuz tensions, and how the diplomatic battle between Tehran and Washington could impact the wider Middle East crisis.
