00:00I never thought I'd be standing here running for U.S. Senate, I can tell you that.
00:04And I want to thank every single person who came out tonight.
00:09And I want to especially thank Paul Perez and the Border Patrol Council for their endorsement.
00:16Thank you, guys. I so appreciate you.
00:20My father was in the military as an Air Force pilot, so when you guys stand behind me,
00:25I feel like I'm back in the old days where I've got people that cared about the country,
00:30that fought for the country, and that were willing to sacrifice for the country.
00:34So give these guys a round of applause.
00:43And you guys should be so proud.
00:45You have such good representation.
00:49Republicans running in this area who are going to win like Eric Flores.
00:56And where's my man, Tano? Where'd he go?
00:58There he is.
01:00These guys are not only going to provide leadership for your area,
01:04but they are going to provide it for the state of Texas into the future,
01:09and they are also going to be leaders for this country.
01:12So God bless you guys.
01:13We're going to go win this together.
01:19So I was listening to Paul talk, and I was thinking about my very first experience with Joe Biden.
01:25It was on his first day in office.
01:28And he came out and announced that he was no longer going to deport anybody.
01:34So what did I do?
01:36I sued him on day three, and I got an injunction on day six.
01:41And four years later, I filed 107 lawsuits, 17 or 18 of them on immigration,
01:47winning about 80% of those cases.
01:52Now, I don't think my opponent, who you've heard his name before,
01:57I don't think he would be filing lawsuits against Joe Biden.
02:00I think what he said was he wanted our border to be a welcome mat, not a secure border,
02:07and he's completely opposed to a border wall, which we also sued Joe Biden over.
02:12So my view on immigration is we need a secure border, we need to protect our country,
02:18and we need to make sure that we take care of America first.
02:27So what are the differences between me and my opponent?
02:29I'm sure you know some of them.
02:31One of them is family.
02:33Actually, let me talk about faith first.
02:36Faith.
02:37Did you guys hear what he recently said about Christianity?
02:40He said that I'm a Christian, but I hate Christianity.
02:45I want you to think about that.
02:46Does it make any sense at all?
02:48I'm a Christian, but I hate Christianity.
02:51He also said that God is non-binary.
02:56Does anybody know what that means?
03:02He also just told us that he thought that Jesus and the Bible condone late-term abortions,
03:09I don't have any idea where he got that from.
03:11I don't remember reading that in the Bible, but that's a new position of James Tallarico.
03:17And then, of course, he also said that if you were supportive of the oil and gas industry in Texas,
03:25that you couldn't be a Christian.
03:27Let me tell you this.
03:28I'm a Christian, and I am supportive of the oil and gas industry because I want energy that works for
03:34America.
03:37Now, while he's been doing all of that, I've been out defending religious liberty.
03:42And I was thinking about one of my very first cases when I was Attorney General.
03:46There was a teacher in Bell County, just an innocent teacher, who put up a Linus cartoon thing over Christmas
03:54that said, unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.
03:59And the school board voted to make her take that down.
04:03So we defended her.
04:05We thought, no, she has a right to her free expression, her religious liberty.
04:11And I knew we were in good shape when we walked into the courtroom and the judge had on a
04:16Christmas tie.
04:18And we ended up winning that case.
04:21So let me talk about family, another thing that we're all about,
04:26something that we in this area, in this state, we care about.
04:30James Tallarico has fought to transition children.
04:38As a matter of fact, when he was asked, what do you think about, when you're not thinking about your
04:42family,
04:43he said, I think about trans kids.
04:48Very strange answer.
04:51He's also supported men in women's sports.
04:59And while he's been doing that, I've been fighting just the opposite.
05:03We've sued the NCAA over men and women's sports.
05:07We fought, I put out an opinion, saying that transing children when they were that young is child abuse
05:15and it's wrong and it's a violation of state law.
05:18And while he was defending it, I was suing and investigating hospitals.
05:26And I just got an agreement with Texas Children's Hospital
05:29to open up a detransitioning unit for children
05:33and to provide those services for five years for free.
05:43And finally,
05:45my campaign's about economic freedom,
05:48about economic opportunity.
05:49The policies of Joe Biden,
05:51which my opponent supports,
05:53and what he has voted for.
05:54He's voted for a state income tax.
06:00He's voted for death taxes.
06:03He said that the tax cuts
06:05that were put out by
06:06the Republican Congress and Donald Trump
06:10that increased the child tax credit,
06:14that cut taxes on Social Security,
06:17that stopped taxation on overtime,
06:20that stopped taxation on tips,
06:23he was opposed to that.
06:25So he's for higher taxes
06:27and obviously higher spending,
06:29which causes inflation,
06:31which we all pay for.
06:32And obviously,
06:33with his regulations on energy,
06:35that also increased costs.
06:37So I want you to know,
06:39I'm about reducing costs,
06:43making your gas prices lower,
06:45reducing the cost of housing,
06:47and lowering your taxes.
06:48We are going to fight for economic opportunity.
06:58So I believe that God gives us all
07:00an opportunity in life to make a difference.
07:03And I think as Texans,
07:07and particularly in this area,
07:10with Hispanics moving more Republican,
07:13we have the opportunity with this group of people
07:17to not only defend Texas values,
07:20and not only provide more opportunity for ourselves,
07:23but for our children and our grandchildren.
07:25And it's all up to you.
07:28I'm going to be out doing my part
07:29for the next three and a half months,
07:30I promise.
07:32But I need you to do your part.
07:33I need you to make sure these guys get elected.
07:36I need you to make sure they get elected.
07:42And I need you to make sure we hold the U.S. Senate,
07:45because if we don't hold Texas,
07:47it's very unlikely we're going to hold the U.S. Senate,
07:49and it's going to open up the door
07:51to all kinds of bad stuff.
07:52And I can guarantee you,
07:54James Tallarico isn't going to be listening to you,
07:56he's going to be listening to Chuck Schumer.
08:01And so I want you to think about this.
08:05We've been around for 250 years.
08:07In Texas,
08:09you look at the map,
08:11it's the key for us being around another 250 years.
08:14So let's do what we have to do
08:17in the next three and a half months
08:18to make sure that Texas is strong
08:21and that we have another 250 years for this country.
08:24God bless you,
08:25and thank you for being here.
