00:07If anyone thought Iran would quietly absorb American attacks and retreat, that assumption
00:13is being challenged. Instead of backing down, Tehran is responding almost blow for blow.
00:19Every American strike is being followed by an Iranian response somewhere else in the region.
00:35In this video, we explain why Iran believes it cannot afford to look weak, how the conflict
00:42is expanding beyond Iran's borders, and why countries that were never direct participants
00:48are now finding themselves caught in the crossfire.
00:52Let's begin.
01:01There was a brief moment when it appeared Washington and Tehran might be moving towards
01:05some form of understanding. A Memorandum of Understanding, or MOU, had created hopes that
01:11the fighting would slow down and negotiations would continue. But today, that hope looks
01:17increasingly distant. It looks bleak. Iran now says that the U.S. decision to resume military
01:24pressure and restore restrictions around the Strait of Hormuz has effectively dismantled
01:29the agreement. Tehran has announced that it no longer considers itself bound by key parts
01:35of the MOU, arguing that the deal only works if both sides honor their commitments. In simple
01:42words, Iran's message is, if America is not following the deal, why should we? That is the political
01:48backdrop. Now look at the military picture. This is perhaps the biggest change in the conflict. Iran
01:57is no longer responding only inside Iran. It is, instead, targeting the wider American military
02:04network across the Middle East, unlike before. Satellite imagery released after recent attacks indicate damage to infrastructure at Qatar's Al
02:18-Odaid
02:18Air Base, one of America's largest military installations in the region. Reports also describe
02:24Iranian strikes directed at U.S. positions in Bahrain and Jordan as the conflict spreads beyond
02:30Iran's borders. For Tehran, the logic is simple. If America can strike Iran, Iran can strike
02:36American assets and partners. This creates pressure not only on Washington, but also on governments
02:42hosting American troops. Now let's talk about the real battleground. Not Tehran, not Washington. The
02:51Strait of Hormuz. Nearly one-fifth of the world's oil passes through this narrow waterway. Whoever
02:57influences Hormuz influences global energy markets. The United States has resumed its naval blockade after
03:04accusing Iran of violating the earlier agreement, while Tehran has threatened that if its own energy
03:11exports are blocked, others should not expect uninterrupted exports either. Iran's message is
03:18straightforward. Energy exports will be for everyone or for no one. This is classic strategic
03:25pressure. Iran knows it cannot match the American aircraft for aircraft, but it can create uncertainty
03:32in one of the world's most important energy corridors. That affects oil prices, shipping, insurance,
03:39and ultimately consumers across the world.
03:44President Donald Trump has also adjusted his approach. After initially promising a 20% fee linked to
03:51securing shipping through Hormuz, he dropped that idea and instead emphasized trade and investment agreements with
03:57Gulf partners, even as the military confrontation has continued. That shows Washington is trying to balance
04:04military pressure with economic diplomacy. But the battlefield has moved faster than diplomacy.
04:13Perhaps the most worrying development is geography. Earlier, this was largely an Iran-US confrontation, but today the map is
04:22expanding.
04:23Jordan has reportedly come under missile attack. Bahrain has faced incoming missiles. Qatar has suffered damage at a major US
04:31military base.
04:32The Gulf shipping lanes remain under pressure. Every new location increases the possibility of another
04:38country being drawn deeper into the conflict. This is exactly how regional wars become much larger.
04:46Not because someone planned it, but because every retaliation creates another retaliation.
04:53Iran is firing back for sure, but America is not easing off either. Recent US strikes have targeted
05:00Iranian coastal infrastructure including facilities around Shabahar as part of a broader campaign against military and logistical assets.
05:08The message from Washington is equally clear. Military pressure will continue until Iran changes its behavior.
05:16So both capitals now believe they are responding, not escalating.
05:21That is what makes this situation so dangerous.
05:26So who is winning ultimately? This is the question that everyone is asking.
05:31The answer is probably neither. The United States possesses overwhelming military capability.
05:38Iran understands that. But Iran is fighting a different kind of battle. Its objective is not necessarily
05:44to defeat America militarily. Its objective is to make the cost of continued conflict steadily higher.
05:51Every missile, every drone, every disruption to shipping, every strike on regional bases is designed to send one message.
06:00You may have greater military power, but this war will not remain cheap. And that seems to be the strategy.
06:10So the immediate future depends on one question. Does either side decide that enough is enough?
06:16Or do they continue answering every strike with another strike? Because once retaliation becomes the policy,
06:24de-escalation becomes politically difficult. Neither Washington nor Tehran wants to appear weak.
06:30And that means every military move risks producing an even stronger response.
06:52Of course.
