00:00The family of 18-year-old Mississippi football player Nolan Xavier Wells is demanding answers
00:05after the teen was found dead following a disappearance during a Fourth of July boating
00:09trip. The Wells family has hired prominent civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who says they won't
00:14rest until they know exactly what happened to the teen. Wells' body was recovered Monday off a
00:19popular barrier island located about 10 miles off the coast of Mississippi. Authorities say he was
00:24last seen Saturday afternoon during a holiday outing with friends, and investigators believe
00:29those friends left the island without him. Police are now looking into a viral video that appears to
00:35show an intense argument on the island the day that Wells disappeared. While the sheriff says foul
00:40play is not currently suspected, perhaps bringing in Ben Crump suggests the family is less convinced.
00:46Officials are asking anyone who saw or heard a disturbance to come forward. A cause of death
00:51has not yet been determined, though investigators say drowning is suspected pending the results of
00:55an autopsy. In a statement, Ben Crump said, quote, Nolan Wells was a beloved son, teammate, and friend who
01:01went out to celebrate the Fourth of July and never came home. His family deserves answers. They deserve the truth.
