00:00He started this war on his own. It did not go that well. He doesn't want it to continue because
00:06of the impact on gasoline prices and oil prices. So he's deflecting a little bit of blaming NATO
00:12allies. It's a tried and true trope that he uses to shift the subject. That being said,
00:21when he says that NATO countries, he broadens this, say NATO countries have never been there
00:26for the US. That's not true either. After September 11th, 2001, they supported the US
00:33with air policing over the United States. They were with us in Afghanistan and Bosnia and Kosovo,
00:40Libya and so forth. So there's a lot that the US gets out of NATO and a lot of partnership
00:45there.
00:46He doesn't like to say that because he likes to keep the pressure on. But the reality is that
00:51there's a lot more unity between the European allies and the United States than President
00:56Trump likes to say.
