00:11and always is way too long that's football fans always await the return of football training
00:16camp is this month so it ain't too far away but we're talking the head coaches around
00:20the league ahead of this football season Ron I want to start with you this show man stock
00:26down for NFL head coaches in 2026 for you Ron stock down and I think his job is on the
00:33line
00:33I don't know if people are saying it yet but I think it's a chance to go south and I
00:41think
00:42he could be looking for work and that is I'm going to go to Indianapolis and Shane Steichen
00:50Daniel Jones they've elected to go with Daniel Jones and he had a pretty good especially
00:56start to his season before he got injured but Daniel Jones is a candidate to me of of
01:03taking a step back and turning back into Daniel Jones the Daniel Jones we've seen more of and
01:11I could see I could see this being a season that goes south for the Colts like I think the
01:19Jags
01:20and the Texans are clearly above the Colts and he's this to me I could see a six win type
01:27season
01:27from the Colts and then you start looking at well hold on we didn't just pay Daniel Jones all this
01:33money and we drafted Anthony Richardson and you know you haven't had success with Anthony Richardson and
01:40really they haven't had a ton of success outside of the start of last year and uh to me just
01:48overall
01:48it felt like the Colts would be further along with Shane Steichen still really surprised that he just
01:55could not seem to get the best out of Anthony Richardson thought that was a perfect spot for him
02:02to go to uh so I I look at I look at a step back season for the Colts and
02:08to me Shane Steichen I'm gonna
02:09go stock down with him well that's a hard one to argue man and and I and I am I'm
02:13still perplexed I
02:14know we've talked about this multiple times because we play small times in a season I am shocked with
02:20Jonathan Taylor in the backfield and Anthony Richardson that they never went that they they seem to never
02:26go to they didn't even run they didn't even go to the quarterback run game as heavily as they did
02:33in Philly with Jalen Hurts now I don't know if that's a man Jalen didn't have doesn't have the arm
02:39that Anthony Richardson has so you got infatuated with the arm and then he got hurt and you just you
02:43really kind of got the plan was I don't know what the hell happened but I'm gonna tell you man
02:47and I
02:48don't think this was wrong Jonathan Taylor with a heavy dose of Anthony Richardson in a run game and
02:57again I'm talking about a run game the way that we saw Shane Steichen doing the thing in Philly with
03:03with with Jalen Hurts I'm talking about that kind of run game like that's scary I mean that's that's
03:09Jonathan Allen um well what's my man's name at the running back up there my mind just went blank uh
03:15oh Saquon's no no no in in uh Buffalo uh oh Cook just that's Jonathan Allen Cook type of scary

03:21like that that's that has got real legs and you minimize you know you you minimize the the the young
03:29quarterback difficulties if you will if that happens so not only do I agree with you Ron I I look
03:34at it
03:35and I go boy the way it all happened it was odd it was just crazy they didn't he he
03:39didn't even have
03:40Saquon in Philly he wasn't there when Saquon was there he did it with Hurts and Miles Sanders yes and
03:48like Miles Sanders got almost 1300 yards one year and Jalen had you know 165 carries and almost 800 yards
03:57and you're a brotherly shove he's he's like you got he's got Jonathan Taylor who is better than any of
04:04those running backs and a bigger faster quarterback yes and and just and he could not get that to work
04:10now some of that is Anthony I mean taking him taking himself out and he he seems to have that
04:15Chad Hutchinson sense we've watched Shane Steichen come in here with Anthony Rich or Jonathan Taylor
04:19whichever angle you want they don't even commit to Jonathan Taylor the way you think they would
04:23with a young quarterback so that the way that all happened is odd but I agree with you stock down
04:27for sure stock down with Shane Steichen we are doing a little stock up stock down talking about the NFL
04:32head coaches around the league ahead of the 2026 season that was Ron stock down within the AFC South
04:38where you find these Texans Colts head coach Shane Steichen Clint over to you stock down for NFL head
04:44coaches this season I'm gonna go Kevin O'Connell really um yeah I look I I think I think when
04:50they
04:50when he first jumped on the scene he was obviously hot but you let Sam Darnold leave and he didn't
04:56do
04:56anything but go on and win a Super Bowl uh you draft your guy he's done nothing but disappoint and
05:01be
05:01injured and now you're in a position where you've got a disgruntled top three top four receiver in
05:07the NFL um that if things don't work out this year he's probably I don't even know what his contract
05:11situation is but but if he's smart his agent's gonna gonna advise him to force his way out of
05:16out of Minnesota um and so you know now you're that that young quarterback that kind of was a little
05:23bit of a bust or has been so far and and Kyler Murray are the quarterbacks that you're that you're
05:28trying to kind of redirect your your your organization with I I just bust bust bust yeah
05:35man I'm I'm just I'm just not Kevin O'Connell's still I mean I like him but I just what's
05:42happened
05:42the last two years in Minnesota and the fact that it happened because it really for the most part
05:48because of the quarterback position uh and the guy that you that you chose to let walk went and won
05:52a
05:52Super Bowl like that that whole thing is the reason you hire Kevin O'Connell a former quarterback and
05:57offensive-minded head coach is to get those things right and he's the quarterback guy and it looks
06:02like J.J. McCarthy is not a starting quarterback yes consistently yes so you draft him in the top 10
06:08so stock down man Kevin Kevin O'Connell and I would argue by the way that from jump I know
06:13you and I
06:14talked about this J.J. McCarthy I thought he should have stayed another year in college but if you do
06:18draft J.J. McCarthy that's a sit for a couple of years type of prop type of type of draft
06:23pick you
06:24you insert him right away he can't stay healthy when he does play it leaves a lot to be desired
06:28I I Kevin O'Connell stocked down see some others here Tyler uh the Todd Bowles someone checked in
06:35with a stock down uh Matt LaFleur somebody checked in yeah that Green Bay thing man they feel like they
06:41got a little bit too much talent that they they seem to be banging their head up against the wall
06:45so
06:45some good ones coming in from up from the listeners no doubt and keep them coming you are tuned in

06:55head coaches this upcoming season back to you Ron we got the stock downs done with stock up Ron the
07:01show Hughley I'm gonna go Clint Kubiak uh with the Raiders and I don't really respect or believe in
07:07anything positive with the Raiders um I just respect I really don't I'm just trained not to and
07:13with Lloyd Christmas haircut at the controls we'll get ready don't talk about it it's hard but
07:20there's a chance Clint Kubiak can obviously coach right and and and you know he has had such success
07:27with Sam Darnold in multiple places had success in a lot of he seems to be the guy to come
07:34out of
07:34that tree that is going to to make it work and they've got a few good building blocks there and
07:43the two quarterbacks he has and obviously Fernando Mendoza the number one draft pick seems to fit a
07:49lot with what he's able to do offensively if you see what he's been able to do with Sam and
07:55what
07:55they've done with Brock Purdy when he was in San Francisco that that seems like Fernando can fit in
08:00and and really play well in that system and Bowers is going to be a good help for them the
08:05tight end
08:05they've got maybe the best tight end uh in football at least young tight end in football so I like
08:10Clint Kubiak uh a lot as stock being up it's it's hard to pick a guy with any stock in
08:15any stock
08:16higher than that joker right there I mean to to do it uh and look they had a good defense
08:21in Seattle
08:21no doubt about it but but the offensively man to do what he did with Sam Darnold and to do
08:26what he did
08:27with with um the receiver uh oh Smith and Jigba Smith and Jigba I mean it would that that was
08:34yeah that's when you jump on the scene if you're like you want to talk about being a weapon on
08:38the
08:38sideline like everybody in America knew that kid was going was going to be a double digit catch
08:43guy every game and and they they found a way to get it done either shut him out in the
08:47first half
08:48you'll come out get eight catches in the second half like it what he was able to do uh both
08:52the
08:52quarterback position as well as um with that with that one kind of a really a monster in the past
08:59catch game was was impressive so it's gonna be hard to find somebody with a stock higher than Clint
09:03Kubiak right now for sure old dirty red put a lid on the stock talk for us today what NFL
09:09head coach
09:09has stock going up in 2026 for you sir yeah look I'm gonna go with Ben Johnson uh I mean
09:14the stock
09:15is just skyrocketing with him I love hearing from him everything he says seems it just fits my ear
09:20perfectly as well but you're talking about a guy that took over an organization with the most hit
09:24quarterback only quarterback in the league that was hit more than CJ Stroud they went out immediately
09:28made the fixes I remember catching hell because nobody around here wanted wanted the the Texans to take
09:33the Chicago approach I saw a list of offensive line rankings now take it for what it's worth
09:38um I don't know that was anything official but the Texans were number 31 and the Bears were number
09:42six in their offensive line so you talk about an off obviously we all know Ben Johnson the offensive
09:48mind the the play caller we get it the creative play caller uh we get that but you you know
09:53the the
09:54job he did when his quarterback was getting the hell beat out of him fixing that offensive line
09:57I think should be commended as well so um I'm going Ben Johnson right now I don't know that
10:03the expectations uh are are fair I mean after after you know a year of some good good offensive
10:09football but boy they're gonna be fun to watch yeah a couple of stock ups uh uh from the Saints
10:15Kellen Moore someone rolls in and somebody took out Aaron Glenn as a stock down so easy around these
10:22parts now he's an Aggie too that's an Aggie with an uphill climb jogs in Sugar Land apparently they
