Watch this heart-stopping moment as a scooter rider's ambitious backflip attempt ends in a painful crash.
The incident took place at Fairfield Skatepark, where Thomas Cantrell attempted a backflip on his scooter. According to Thomas, he realised he was travelling too slowly to complete the trick but decided to commit to the attempt anyway, resulting in the scooter striking him in the head after the failed landing.
Reflecting on the incident Thomas said: "I was riding my scooter and decided to try a backflip. I knew I was going too slow, but I attempted it anyway and ended up taking the scooter to the head. The moral of the story is: always wear a helmet."
