00:00Hello Bali Interior, welcome to NEST. My name is Bertrand. Come and take a peek in my paradise.
00:21Okay this is the kitchen, dining and living area. So the whole concept of the
00:26house is Wabi Sabi. We wanted to have a little bit of a Japanese influence in the house.
00:34This house was mainly designed to be a home for my families. I have kids different ages so here they
00:39can really gather together and play.
00:41My bigger kids can have their friends over and my smaller kids can have his friends over.
00:45With a big pool area, big living space for playrooms, TV rooms, so plenty of space for the kids.
00:53Let me show you the kitchen area. Main island here was inspired by an airfoil of an airplane.
01:01I've been working in the airline industry for 25 years so I wanted to take one piece of an airplane
01:06and put it in the middle of my kitchen. Here it is.
01:09So in this area we have used a lot of organic recycled wood for the cabinetry.
01:16This is an area I really like because we have lights again exposed to the outside.
01:21It's all enclosed, we can close everything. We have air cones.
01:23Very high ceiling that gives you an extra feeling of volume, of space, which is really important to me.
01:30Let me show you the outdoor area.
01:38So in this area here we wanted to move away a little bit from the traditional lounge chairs that you
01:44find usually around swimming pools.
01:46So I wanted to have something modular that could be used as well as a lounge area after sunset to
01:51have some drinks,
01:52sit around with friends with a table, maybe a shisha, and during the day standard pool chairs for the swimming
01:58pool.
01:58This here is a 30 meter swimming pool, which I really enjoy. I love swimming.
02:02First thing in the morning is to get up out of the bed and just jump in my pool.
02:05Now I would like to show you my master bedroom.
02:10So this is my master bedroom. I liked it very spacious, a lot of lights.
02:15Again, I like the connection with the nature outside.
02:18So here when I wake up in the morning, open the curtains, being in direct connections with these beautiful trees.
02:23It's just, it makes my day already.
02:25We have used a cement polish on the floor.
02:28Again, a quadra on the backdrop here for the bed with recycled wood, teak wood.
02:35Little area here for walking, again, with a nice view of the pool and of nature.
02:39For me, it's the best room of the house, obviously.
02:42I have a good energy here. I really love it.
02:48And so as part of this master bedroom, at the back of this bed, we have created a connecting bathroom,
02:54which I would like to show you.
02:59So this is the master bathroom. It's connecting my master bedroom and my son's bedroom.
03:06I wanted a little bit of a spa vibe in here.
03:09So we have used the Indian stones on the floor.
03:12Nice black terrazzo, bathtubs, recycled teak, double sinks, high ceilings to create another high volume effect.
03:22Double showers, double rain showers with quadra on the wall again.
03:26And again, being nest, we wanted to recreate this structure here in wood, which really gives you a nice and
03:33comfy feeling when you take a shower.
03:34So let's move now to my son's bedroom, please.
03:46So this here is my son's first ever bedroom, actually. So I wanted to give him something big.
03:52Again, high ceilings, a lot of wood. I like not a lot of plastic here. So wood is perfect. We
03:59keep it organic.
04:00His toys are in beautiful Leiden Ratan Bastretz. And I love his room. I play with him here every day.
04:07Right next to this room, we have a living and playroom as well. Please follow me.
04:20So this is the TV area, relaxing area. And I think this is the place where everybody wants to be
04:27all the time.
04:28And I know why. We have created this beautiful comfy sofa, beautiful artwork from Toraja, Sumatra, Borneo.
04:35All Indonesia is displayed in here. A beautiful TV. We have toys, books to read.
04:40It's a space really to just relax and chill. Enjoy nature. When you look outside of the rice fields, we
04:45can close it up.
04:46We have air con here, high ceiling. Love this place.
04:49Let's have a look next door now. We have the guest room for our family guests and our friends guests.
05:00So this here is the guest room. People usually who see this room are ready to check in the next
05:05day.
05:05So we have beautiful poster beds, two by two, linen cloths all around, antique art from Indonesia as well, with
05:14a beautiful connecting and suite bathroom.
05:18So this guest bathroom, same as my main master bathroom design, we used Indian tiles, which is very nice on
05:26the seat in here.
05:27We have this banana paper lamps, tailor-made actually, that gives a nice wabi-sabi touch here.
05:34So I think the guests love it very much.
05:43So having teenagers, I decided to make a little retreat for my girls underneath my deck here.
05:50So please follow me.
05:57So this is the room of my daughters.
05:59Exactly the same rooms with a connecting door in the wall so they can have total privacy.
06:04This room is actually very quiet, being underneath my deck, quite like a cave inside the rocks here.
06:10It has been built quite in a special place, so it's very, very quiet.
06:14They both have an ensuite bathroom, which is identical as well.
06:17Recycled wood, a little bit more modern, but still with a spa feeling.
06:21Both of them have an incredible view here.
06:24Yoga is on the menu every morning at 6.30.
06:27And from here, very easy to access the outdoor garden, beautiful next to the river.
06:58Thank you Bali Interior for taking a peek in my paradise. See you soon.
07:01Good morning, assimっていう friends.
07:03Bye
