00:00Selamat de tang. My name's Benny and that's Birdie. Please welcome, come and take a peek in our paradise.
00:18We moved to this villa because I loved the way it blended into the jungle and the greenery and
00:26every morning, Birdie, my dog and I, we walk down to the river and she swims and then we walk
00:32up to the
00:32beautiful little community in Buitt where we learn Balinese with all our gorgeous neighbours.
00:39That's why the property was called Chameleon because if you look from up above, all the rooftops are green
00:45and everything just blends into the mountain like a chameleon.
00:57Let me show you the living area. This is where we all hang out. My husband and I've got 10
01:03children
01:03together so they all came at Christmas. So this was amazing just to hang out and chill and have a
01:09look
01:09over the, you can feel like you're in a bud here but only five minutes to the beach as well
01:14which is
01:14gorgeous. So this is our kitchen here, the front of our kitchen. So you've got a little bar area.
01:21I love this brass countertop. We just, when I viewed this property online in 2017, a friend of mine was
01:31doing the styling. I saw all of these brass things that they'd done and all these little touches that
01:37were so different from the marble countertops and the cement that I'd seen so many times before.
01:47Come up and I'll show you the bedrooms for the guests upstairs. Hey, this is one of my favourite
01:55rooms because we've got a little nook over there for reading. We've got the library over here. So,
02:02oops, we've got the light in the middle of the room. And so I love sitting here in the afternoons
02:06and
02:07reading. Plus behind us we've got local art in most of the rooms. We love to support local art.
02:18Let me show you the master bedroom. This is the master bedroom. As you can see there's more local art
02:29on
02:30all the walls. I love this bed how they've designed it walking up because I feel like I'm not just
02:36perched
02:36on a bed. I feel like the bed becomes part of the whole room and the room's part of the
02:41bed.
02:43And often I come down here and use this as my office for a few hours a day. So I
02:49love doing
02:50different rooms. I take my office from one room to another and I get that view and then I go
02:55over
02:56there. And so I often do that every couple of hours a day. I change rooms. This is a master
03:02bathroom.
03:04And I love the sunken bath in here. Again, you overlook the jungle. You actually feel like nobody
03:12else exists because chameleon blending into the jungle and all the surrounds. It's a beautiful space to be.
03:27So we've got a walk-in wardrobe here. And I've got to say it's the first time I've ever had
03:34a walk-in
03:35wardrobe. And I love it. I haven't got enough clothes to fill it but I absolutely love it.
03:49So this is the sitting room attached to the main bedroom. I love this room for a few reasons.
03:56One is it's got a beautiful linen curtain that you can close off in the day if you want to
04:02just have
04:02a little rest after working all day. And this is somebody can still lie on this couch or sit and
04:09read. And it just segregates the two areas which is beautiful. Let me show you the adjoining room
04:16to the master bedroom. It can be used as a children's room or the children's things can
04:24be packed up and you can use it as an adult's room. But it all looks onto the jungle as
04:29well.
04:30The kids love it in here because also the pool's just here. This is the ensuite for the children's
04:36room. It's got the beautiful round bath that the children love going in after the evening
04:42swim. Again, the beautiful hand painted tiles. This time in a really gorgeous green and flickers
04:49of cream. And this opens into the pool as well.
04:57Let me show you the dining area with a wood fire pizza oven. So down here we've got the
05:04wood fire pizza oven and the massive table. And luckily in Bali, it's got the most incredible
05:10chefs. And we found a beautiful Balinese guy that makes this incredible sourdough pastry.
05:21Come with me. This is our bathroom that we use when we're at the pool area. So this is the
05:28bathroom that we use when and guests when they're at the pool. It's got a shower and a beautiful
05:34skylight. And as you saw before, the door is a little wet waterfall.
05:47Hi again. This is one of my favourite rooms as well because of the beautiful local art and because of
05:54the outdoor bathroom. I love going out there and just seeing the expanse of the concrete and the way that
06:03Valentina's made it all part of the bedroom. And again, she's featured the brass table in the
06:10middle there, which I loved. Just beautiful. And I love the way she's made the concrete bed head
06:15with all the natural aggregate coming through. And then you sit out here or you sit from your bed
06:23and look out to the jungle. It's just beautiful. This is the veranda for two of the guest rooms
06:29and it overlooks all the river. It's such good feng shui, the river flowing slowly like that. It's just
06:38so peaceful. And this is another little nuke where I sit and read in the afternoons.
06:51So we're really lucky to have a pool in Bali because it's summer all year round. And the pool overlooks
06:59the jungle as well and the beautiful trees and the gorgeous birds. There's these beautiful Balinese
07:05bluebirds that fly every day. It's just a beautiful spot just to relax and enjoy the evening.
07:25Bye Bali Interiors. Thanks for taking a peek in my paradise. We'll see you next time.
07:30Bye Bali Responds.
07:30Bye.
