00:24about United States sanctions against Venezuela, which continue to affect international financial
00:31transactions and keep Venezuelan assets frozen abroad, despite the temporary easing of some
00:40measures to facilitate humanitarian assistance following the recent double earthquakes.
00:47The Chinese foreign minister, spokesperson Mao Ning, reiterated Beijing's opposition to unilateral
00:54sanctions, which she described as illegal, and urged the United States to fully lift them
01:02in order to create favorable conditions to Venezuelan reconstruction.

01:10China has always opposed illegal unilateral sanctions that lack any basis in international law.
01:17We call on the U.S. to fully lift its illegal unilateral sanctions against Venezuela at an early
01:23date to create favorable conditions for Venezuela's post-disaster reconstruction.
01:28Mao Ning also said that China will continue expanding its assistance to Venezuela following the
01:34double earthquakes. Beijing announced 100 million yuan, approximately $50 million, in emergency relief supplies,
01:44in addition to support from the Red Cross Society of China, the Chinese companies, and the Chinese community
01:51in Venezuela. The first shipment arrived yesterday, carrying more than 80 tons of humanitarian aid, including
02:01electric generators, water purification units, disinfection equipment, solar lighting systems, and tents and blankets.
