Detroit Lions wideout Jameson Williams continues to develop his connection with Jared Goff, has best career game against Chicago Bears.

00:00True highlight was also Jared Goff launching a bomb to Jameson Williams.
00:05Everybody was, you know, look, at this point in time, you recognize Jared Goff has, you know, an accurate arm
00:12and he's got a live arm.
00:13He can throw the football. And I think that people fail to go back and look at what he did
00:19with the Rams.
00:20I just think that, you know, more in line, I think when people were saying, talking about Jared Goff and
00:26his ability to connect with Jameson Williams,
00:28really what they were saying is maybe Jameson Williams is just so fast that it's going to be tough to
00:33get in sync with any quarterback,
00:35just because you don't see speed like that too often where a guy can just turn it on,
00:41where it doesn't maybe even look like he's going full speed and can get three yards behind a defensive back.
00:46You just don't see that level of speed. But look, they got the right look.
00:51And Jared Goff got the football in the air over 55 yards and was able to connect on a career
00:57long pass to Jameson Williams.
00:58It was a highlight. It was great. I think that anytime you can execute an explosive play,
01:04I just think that that just helps your offense. And I do think that hopefully, you know,
01:08as the connection continues to grow, that it can be seen more.
01:12You know, obviously it didn't kind of shake out against the bills, but at the same token, look,
01:18you played a bears defense that was struggling, lack of confidence. They had given up over 30 points,
01:22you know, to the Vikings, they lost. And you recognize that it was a team that, you know,
01:29definitely fought, but had some struggles as well in terms of collectively with the new coaching staff
01:35and, and really shot themselves in the foot quite a bit, but that's not the problem with the Detroit
01:40lions. That's the problem for the Chicago bears to try and figure out the final stretch of the season
01:45for them to try and get as many wins as they can. But for the lions, the connection between Jared
01:51golf and Jameson Williams, that's going to be, in my opinion, probably the X factor that could
01:56determine how far this football team goes, because look, Jameson Williams is a football player that
02:03you can really, when you look at it, you can build an offense around, you know, he has that Jamar
02:09chase,
02:09Justin Jefferson vibe. It's just kind of getting out of his own way in terms of the excessive
02:14celebrations. And we'll talk about that briefly, but man, that was a highlight touchdown. And I
02:19think that any explosive play definitely helps this offense. You just hope to see it more and
02:22you hope to see it against elite competition as well. Yeah. I think Jameson Williams has had a
02:27pretty good year for the lions. You talked about the fact that now he's up to 890 receiving yards.
02:33So he's only 110 away. If he gets 55 receiving yards in each of the next two games, he's going
02:38to
02:38finish with a thousand. Like, I think when we talk about expectations for what we wanted
02:43his season to look like at the beginning of the year, I'd say this is a pretty solid show for
02:48him.
02:49I know we talked about it before the year, but like that thousand yard, I wasn't sure that he'd get
02:54to a thousand, like maybe 800, whatever. He's on pace for a thousand now, if he can just finish the
02:59job these last two games. And, you know, I think that maybe he might be wearing a little bit of
03:04a
03:04target. He got that taunting penalty earlier in the game yesterday. But if you talk about,
03:09or if you listen to him talk about it after the game, he said he didn't say anything. He just
03:13kind
03:13of spun the ball. And it could have been one of those things where after the interaction he had
03:17with Tyreek Stevenson on Thanksgiving, that officials were maybe on high alert and they threw the flag
03:24early to kind of set the tone. I was really impressed with Jameson Williams on Sunday. And it's kind
03:28of been a developing theme where he's become a consistent part of the offense. He's a deep threat.
03:33But cornerbacks cannot stay in front of him and you can't play one single high safety because if
03:38you do, and the Lions run a bunch of misdirection with other routes, he's going to get behind the
03:43defense and scored long touchdowns like he did on Sunday. And it was his fourth touchdown of over
03:4950 yards this season, which is really just an incredible statistic. When you look at the fact
03:54that only two other Lions have done that before Calvin Johnson and Cloyce Vox, like that to me is just
04:00another sign of how impactful he can be moving forward for the Lions. And you're right, the
04:05playoffs, normally it comes down to one or two different big plays. And the Lions, with their
04:11defense being so banged up, they're always at risk of giving up touchdowns and giving up long drives
04:17that turn into touchdowns. And so to have that quick strike answer that Jameson Williams provides
04:22with these long touchdown passes or these short throws that you can give to him and he can make a
04:27couple guys miss and turn it into a 25-yard gain. The element that he brings to the offense,
04:32that's super important. And it could definitely be one of the reasons why the Lions are able to
04:36steal a playoff game. You know, maybe a couple other guys don't end up coming back and the defense
04:41is still banged up. So yeah, I'm looking to Jameson Williams to be a huge part of the Lions playoff
04:49run.
04:49this is a baris溶.
04:49So don't do this one again.
