00:00Hello, this is the National Weather Forecast for Tuesday, where we'll keep an eye on the weather for tomorrow, Wednesday.
00:06That'll be the 8th of July, and this is a record-setting high-pressure area.
00:10Yesterday in Tasmania, we recorded the highest verified atmospheric pressure ever in the country at Ouse in the southern interior
00:18there.
00:19And this high is still firmly planted over Tasmania over the next 24 to 48 hours.
00:24That's going to extend an influence of settled conditions across the interior east and the south here.
00:30There's going to be a bit of rain across the east coast with south-south easterly winds around New South
00:35Wales and Queensland.
00:36And you can see some rain over the interior as well.
00:38That'll be pretty patchy, but could make for some muddy roads.
00:42And there's more high-pressure influence out towards Western Australia, ensuring fairly settled conditions out that way.
00:49So the weather pattern is not changing swiftly.
00:51If it's been fine through the week so far, more than likely it will be fine again.
00:55That encompasses almost the entirety of the inland of Queensland, with maybe the exception around a shower or two building
01:01near Birdsville.
01:03Cold mornings, then fine days across the interior.
01:06There will be showers across the east coast once again.
01:08Brisbane looking sheltered, high of 22, pleasant day, dry day.
01:12Showers possible for the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and most areas about and north of Mackay.
01:18But no heavy rain is in store.
01:20Brisk southerly winds along the New South Wales coast keep temperatures capped in the upper teens.
01:25But the feels-like temperature will be even lower thanks to that wind flow.
01:29We will also see passing showers from the Illawarra northwards, including through Sydney.
01:33And much like the past few days, that could deliver 2 to 10 millimetres of rain.
01:38A dry day over the interior of the state on the western side of the Great Dividing Range.
01:42Cold morning and then a pleasant afternoon.
01:44Canberra starting off at zero or even in the negatives, warming up to about 14.
01:50This morning was a strange mix of mist and drizzle around Melbourne.
01:54We'll call it mizzle and that could be repeated again tomorrow with a near identical weather set up.
01:59That will really only be through the first couple of hours of the day.
02:02Any low cloud and mist and drizzle and fog will all clear away and become relatively bright across the state
02:07with a bit of passing cloud cover.
02:09Maximum temperatures between 12 and 14 degrees for most areas.
02:13But Mildura overachieving with a high of 17.
02:16A very calm day in Tasmania tomorrow.
02:19Possibly a morning shower across the east coast, mostly north of Hobart.
02:22That'll dry up and then from about 10 a.m. onwards, dry weather state-wide.
02:27There will be some cloud around.
02:29The sun should come and make some appearances as well.
02:31Given it is July, we're struggling to get higher than about 13 degrees.
02:36There is some rain in SA tomorrow, mostly up around the northern pastoral districts,
02:41but perhaps some rain through parts of the Eyre Peninsula as well.
02:44From the York Peninsula around Maitland all the way across to the eastern border,
02:49it should be a dry day with a mixture of sunshine and cloud overhead.
02:52That includes for Adelaide with a high of 17.
02:55Some pretty chilly mornings around the lower southeast.
02:58Could be zero or even in the negatives for Mount Gambier.
03:00And then a bright day.
03:03Settled conditions throughout Western Australia for Wednesday.
03:06Dry almost everywhere.
03:08Maybe a light shower or two around the southwest capes and Bunbury.
03:11Possibly down towards the south coast in Albany as well.
03:14Perth should be dry and sunny.
03:16Light northerly wind there.
03:17Keeps temperatures on the warm side of winter averages.
03:2021 degrees for the high.
03:22We're also looking at 20s through the Wheatbelt.
03:24Up to about 24 around Geraldton.
03:26And mid to upper 20s across the Pilbara and Gascoyne coast.
03:30And finally northern Australia.
03:32A little bit of rain pushing through the southern territory.
03:34That could lead to some showers.
03:35Maybe even a thunderstorm around Alice Springs and Uluru tomorrow.
03:39And the other side of the map we will also see a little bit of rain onto the eastern top
03:43end
03:44around Arnhem Land as well as the Gulf Coast.
03:47Darwin in between those two.
03:48Dry beautiful day up there once again.
03:50High of 32 and it's looking very pleasant along the northern WA coastline as well.
03:57And that's the summary for tomorrow.
03:58Looking similar to today and honestly looking similar to Thursday.
04:01But you can get the latest on that weather forecast on the Bureau's website or app.
04:06Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day.
