00:00All right, let's start with SK Hynix. This morning kicking off the formal marketing process
00:07for its U.S. listing. The South Korean shipmaker is trying to capitalize on investor demand for
00:13the memory chip sector. I'm going to say the high-flying memory chip sector. A company is
00:19seeking to sell American depository receipts. This would represent just about 18 million common
00:24shares. It would be valued at about $28 billion. The offering of the ADRs comes after the firm's
00:32sole traded stock. That sucker has rallied 260% this year. The company's market cap is now above
00:40a trillion dollars. So a U.S. listing for SK Hynix opens a pretty...
00:45Another big deal for the Wall Street investment bank.
00:48Yeah.
00:4922,000 employees. They're teen suites.
00:51Yeah. Well, yeah. Again, a trillion dollar market cap. So this was going to open up a
00:58pretty important fundraising channel for the high-bandwidth memory.
01:03I've never seen this. Maybe you said this, John. 12-month total return? 771%. I've never
01:11seen that number.
01:12Bank of America, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and J.P. Moore have been leading the deal.
01:15The ADR sale be among the top three first-time share sales ever at the proposal size right
01:24now.
01:24A couple of phone calls here.
01:26Chip supplier, Broadcom, ticker symbol AVGO, expanding their work with Apple. And this is
01:33going to take place through at least the next five years. They're going to develop and supply
01:38products for multiple generations of Apple's devices. Broadcom has long made connectivity
01:45components for the iPhone. The stock, that has gained about 30% over the past year as
01:52the AI boom has fueled demand for more semiconductors. The company has, among other things, this deal
02:01actually comes as the price of memory and storage chips has surged in recent months. So, you
02:06know, why not? Try to...
02:09Do you have a third chip stock you'd like to...
02:11Well, let me do this.
02:12Are you all chip?
02:13Remember Honeywell International? They did a bunch of spinoffs trying to, like, trim things
02:17down. One of the spinoffs was Solstice Advanced Materials. They are now acquiring Element Solutions
02:25cash and stock deal. It's not a small deal, $14.5 billion. So, this would create a market
02:32leader in the specialty chemicals sector.
02:36Semis.
02:37No, it's not semis. It's chemicals. Elements shareholders will own about 44% of the combined
02:43company. The deal values, it includes the assumption of net debt. Solstice makes materials
02:49including polymers and performance fluid. Elements' focus is on products used in sectors including
02:56electronics and semiconductors. There's the connection. Honeywell announced in October
03:022024 it would hive Solstice off into a separate company. So, that's it. That's your stock movers
03:09today. It's enough to chew on.
03:12It's more focused than Alexis. Alexis is more eclectic. It's a podcast. It's stock movers.
03:19Alexis is more eclectic. It's more eclectic. It's more eclectic. It's more eclectic. It's
