00:00Tonight, right here on the National Mall, we are beginning the most unforgettable birthday party any country has ever seen.
00:06Oh, you're gonna have a good time.
00:08Last night, the president spoke at the National Mall to kick off America's 250th birthday.
00:12We pulled the statements that stood out the most and checked them against the record.
00:16No spin. Here's what holds up, and here's what doesn't.
00:18In my first 11 months, we secured commitments for $19.1 trillion of new investment
00:26from all over the globe, and they're building factories and plants, and they're building everything all over our country.
00:34That is false. The White House's own site lists $9.6 trillion, about half what he claims here,
00:40and economists found that counts multi-year goals and product purchases, not actual investments.
00:46The spirit in this country is like from a different planet from what it was a year and a half
00:51ago.
00:51In a flawless and breathtaking operation earlier this year,
00:56America's armed forces captured the outlaw dictator of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro,
01:02and brought him back to face American justice.
01:05This one is true. On January 3rd, U.S. forces captured Nicolas Maduro in Caracas
01:10and flew him to New York, where he's facing drug trafficking charges.
01:13For the past 13 months, zero illegal aliens have been admitted into the United States. Zero.
01:22Zero refers to CBP's count of migrants released into the country after being caught,
01:27and that has held for 13 months.
01:29But people still crossed the border.
01:31About 28,000 were caught crossing in 2025, down from 1.5 million in 2024.
01:37And last week we signed a historic agreement to end the conflict with Iran,
01:43fully open the Strait of Hormuz, and accomplish what no president has ever been able to accomplish before.
01:50Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. That's done.
01:54This one is a little misleading. The June 17th agreement is a 60-day framework for nuclear talks, not a
02:00finished deal.
02:00Iran reaffirmed it won't build a weapon, but the details are unresolved.
02:04Four claims, four verdicts. One true, one false, and two that needed just a little bit more context.
02:09Which one are you the most surprised by? Drop your take below and follow us here for more.
02:14We create worries about our profession of predicting and winning.
02:14We have to use them too.
02:14Let's look up to our top four.
